If you haven't read my previous entry "Democrats LIED about ending the Iraq War", let me summarize for you:
1) Democrats out of power for 12 years and lusting after the thought of regaining control of Congress.
2) our troops fighting an extremely difficult and increasingly unpopular war.
3) 3 separate and disastrous events occur which undermine the morale of the American people.
4) Democrats politicize events in a coordinated strategy right before the mid-term Congressional elections.
5) Democrats deceive the American people by making a false promise to END THE WAR if given control of Congress.
If you'd like to see what a politician looks like, refer to my previous Youtube clip of Congressman Paul Kanjorski (D-PA) admitting that the Democrats "stretched the facts" when they said they could end the war. In simple, American vernacular: they lied. They knew damn well that they DID NOT HAVE 67 VOTES IN THE SENATE!!! Why does it take 67 votes? Because that's what is needed to override a presidential veto like they just did on the pork-laden "Farm Bill" this past week! Here's the clip of a POLITICIAN:
Now, let's take a look at a STATESMAN, shall we? Meat and Potatoes Loyalists from coast to coast will remember that I go "cuckoo for cocoa puffs" over the pride of Tennessee, Congressman Zach Wamp! Do I even have to mention that he's a Republican for crying out loud? haha Ole Zach's hotter than a 2 dollar pistol on that House Floor and when he speaks, people must think he's related to E.F. Hutton because they sure listen! I wrote a blog about this distinguished gentleman on Myspace before the 2006 elections, please indulge me with that literary creation:
I wish Zach Wamp was my Congressman (originally posted on Myspace, 10/21/06)
Let's say I stumble upon a magic lantern tomorrow. I rub it and find out I have my legendary 3 wishes. For certain, one of those wishes would be that Zach Wamp becomes my Congressman. Have you seen this guy's TV commercials?
Missing are the silly platitudes and trite expressions. These commercials are powerful statements of what matters in America and what Zach will do to fight for what is right. In one spot, he discusses the value of affordable health care with an elderly woman while in another, he looks compassionately at a young girl as he talks about the stakes in the War on Terror and how her father is integral to the fight.
Perhaps I am just a gullible sycophant, but his message really resonates with me and moreover, his methodology in delivering that message makes an impact few can match! How lucky the 3rd district of Tennessee is to have this man as their Congressman. Maybe I'll "pull chocks" and move off to the next county over so that I too can vote for a patriot, who reflects true Tennessee ideals of rugged individualism and self-reliance. After all, these are the values which built this great nation and more politicians should embrace them.
Time for a rare treat, to watch a STATESMAN in action, as he lights up the House Floor in Washington, D.C. Quite ironically, he's making a speech after the exact thing that Democrats feared and KNEW would happen, a failure to override the presidential veto!
