Our "Crimson Tide Moment" is upon us I fear

Very few people read this blog but I post to it nonetheless.  Why? Because I care about the country's future and I see an almost certain painful doom on the horizon.  Just imagine for a minute if you can, the economic devastation we'll have to endure when the US dollar suddenly loses confidence with the rest of the world.  Imagine waking up tomorrow to find out there's been a massive sell-off by the Chinese and Japanese due to some event beyond anyone's control.  Instantly panic ensues, stores are stripped of the stocks on their shelves as people invariably begin to hoard.  Forward thinking individuals who have stockpiled popular consumer goods begin to participate in an ad hoc "Black Market" where simple items like shampoo become so expensive, we now consider them luxuries.

It won't be a pretty sight, will it?  The reality today is that America has come upon its "Crimson Tide Moment" where we must take the steps necessary to keep our "ship" from sinking financially.  Hopefully, you'll remember one of my favorite movies starring Gene Hackman, Denzel Washington and George Dzundza.  A nuclear ballistic missile submarine, the USS Alabama has been temporarily disabled in a fight with a Soviet attack boat and is slowly sinking towards its crush depth.  As water is filling the aft bilge bay of Alabama, an order is given to Rick(y) Schroder, playing the part of LT Hellerman: "Now seal that GD (bilge) bay...before WE ALL GO DOWN!"

Imagine being that young officer, looking into the flooding bilge bay and seeing YOUR men down there, having to make a crucial choice as to what's MOST IMPORTANT.  Then having to close the heavy, iron door and rotate the locking dogs into place as the water begins spraying out in all directions.  Not a pretty sight, once again.

The metaphor of this poignant scene from "Crimson Tide" is absolutely perfect for America.  Our national debt is increasing in exponential fashion with each passing year, just look at a graph if you don't believe me.  Our unemployment, lack of productivity and trade deficit are all at dreadful levels.  Our Federal Reserve is printing so much money to cover bailouts that INFLATION is on everyone's mind.  The price of GOLD and SILVER have set records that will seem like a bargain in a few months from now.

The "gargantuan juggernaut" we call a Federal Government must be reigned in and cut-back massively in the next Congress. PERIOD!  When the caterwauling begins from "demagogue-crats" and their willing accomplices in our corrupt media, these new Tea Party electees must step up and use the "Crimson Tide Moment" analogy.  Believe me, people will get it because the analogy is a damn good one!

This government has tried to be ALL things to ALL people since 1933.  Since then, we have destroyed the value of our currency and it has lost 90 percent of its value.  The conclusion is clear and convincing:  If ALL people (except for those not bodily able) do not begin to FEND FOR THEMSELVES, the nation will sink just like the USS Alabama and we will all drown in a "sea of limitless poverty".

Lying statist at Green Bay Post Gazette, shame on her

Those who've made my acquaintance over the years know me to be a genial and accomodating fellow.  All that has changed over the past 2 years as I've watched this nation fall from grace due to the coordinated effort of freedom hating statists who "never let a good crisis go to waste".  If you've learned anything about those who constitute the "Fifth Column" (i.e. the traitors) in this country, it is that they must lie in order to trick people (typically busy, uninformed, apathetic types) into believing their agenda is right for our country.

Normally, I would not single out a person for ridicule but that was the old me.  The new me has removed the kid gloves and replaced them with brass knuckles ready to bloody the sorry intellect of a lying statist who needs her clock cleaned.  To wit, one Carol Wielgus of the Green Bay Post Gazette.  She penned a very short and intellectually vapid column today blaming the GOP for our mess.  I intend to take this sorry piece of excrement (the article, not her) apart, piece by nasty little piece and I hope you'll come along for the ride.

Note: the following is reprinted without permission of Carol Wielgus or the GRB Post Gazette.  They're all a bunch of no-good, lying leftists/statists/Marxists up there and I don't care if I have their permission! :-)~

REPUBLICAN POLICIES LED TO DEBT SPIRAL
October 3, 2010
by Carol Wielgus
GREEN BAY — During President Clinton's administration, even though taxes were increased, 23 million jobs were added and there was a budget surplus with a future of debt being eliminated. President Bush's administration tax cuts, which the Republicans are trying to extend, created only 3 million jobs and lost hundreds of thousands of jobs in the later months in office.
The budget surplus went into a debt spiral with two unfunded wars, the unfunded prescription drug Medicare Modernization Act of 2003 and unfunded tax cuts. Today, President Obama is showing a gain of jobs in the last months and our troops are coming home from an unnecessary war and expense in Iraq. More Americans have affordable health care, the financial system has been stabilized and the stock market is up, which improved retirement plans for many Americans. We believe that tax cuts for the majority of Americans — those earning less than $250,000 — can be beneficial to job creation and the economy along with job-incentive based benefits to the private sector. We cannot afford to go back to Republican policies, unfunded tax cuts, wars, legislation and programs, and outsourcing jobs overseas, that got us into the debt spiral and mess.

Ok, quickly regain your composure, suck down an adult beverage if you must and get ready for my rebuttal as I dispel the many lies and distortions from this lying, leftist demagogue.

1) The mischaracterization of the Clinton economy- The 1990s were a sad decade for America as we saw our manufacturing economy disappear to China in rapid fashion.  What replaced those jobs?  Low paying "service sector" jobs which produced nothing and are now being lost on a daily basis.  The 1990's economy was a bubble both in the stock market and the housing industry.  These bubbles were manufactured and sustained by the Federal Reserve, the media and the Clinton administration. Bush inherited both as they popped!

2) Tax revenues and the mythical Clinton surplus- Tax revenues were shooting up due to the bubble in the tech sector which popped catastrophically in March of 2000.  Since then, people have been taking losses on those stocks as deductions on their taxable income.  The liars in the Clinton administration used accounting tricks to project ever increasing tax revenues and PROJECT surpluses.  They also re-financed our nation's colossal debt with short-term, lower interest bonds to reduce the amount of interest payments.  Once these debt instruments had to be re-financed at a higher interest rate, the interest payments jumped massively and the surpluses evaporated.

3) Mischaracterization of the Bush economy- By all objective accounts, George W. Bush inherited a terrible mess of a country.  9/11 only 7 months away and nobody knew it.  al-Qaeda, the Taliban and Iran all plotting together to sow terror and panic throughout the middle east as well attack the USA. The tech bubble freshly exploded which left hundreds of billions of dollars hemmorrhaging from our economy.  The housing bubble growing due to Clinton mismanagement of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act of 1933.  Ms. Wielgus doesn't acknowledge that the Bush tax cuts are what turned the nation's economy around when it was at its darkest hour, the post-9/11 era.  Either due to her own anti-capitalism agenda or her ignorance, she also doesn't acknowledge that it was the Clinton Mortgage Bubble (CMB) combined with astonomically expensive fuel prices in 2008 that stopped our economic growth dead in its tracks!  Furthermore, she doesn't even mention that the Democrat-Socialist party took control of Congress in January of 2007.

4) Assorted lies and mischaracterizations that are classic statist psychobabble- I love the use of the word "unfunded" by this statist.  She throws it around as easily as Obama says "we inherited this mess".  When you hear a leftist use the word "unfunded", just remember you are listening to a shameless hypocrite who has stood for "unfunded", un-Constitutional programs their whole lives!  Social In-Security is "unfunded", Medicare is "unfunded", all of these additional programs created by Democrat-Socialists are "unfunded" as well and will go broke over the next couple of decades.  I agree with Ms. Wielgus that the Prescription Drug entitlement (MEDICARE PART D) was a bad idea but IT WAS ONLY AN EXPANSION OF A DEMOCRAT PRESIDENT'S (LBJ) PROGRAM.  Is Ms. Weilgus trying to tell us that the entire Medicare program was a great idea, since it was passed by a Democrat but when a Republican tries to enhance the program by adding a missing piece.... it suddenly becomes a bad one?  BALDERDASH!  For the record, your humble blogger here (Mister Meat and Taters) is against the ENTIRE MEDICARE PROGRAM because it is not authorized under the Constitution!

About tax cuts being "unfunded", this is absolute sophistry and shows you how disconnected from reality this woman truly is.  A tax cut gives people back the money they have earned by the hard work of their bodies and/or the intellectual gifts bestowed on them by God.  For government to come in and take too much of this money for questionable purposes (like buying votes) is unethical not to mention immoral.  We all have a finite period of time on earth with each year being a gift from God, thus we cannot afford to have government squandering such precious resources as time or money.  Simply, government spending CAN be unfunded while tax cuts cannot.

About "outsourcing jobs overseas", it was the Clinton administration that took illegal campaign contributions from the likes of Chinese operatives such as Charlie Tri and Johnny Huang in the 1990's in exchange for agreements to ship jobs overseas to China.  Yes, the GOP did take the Congress in 1995 with a resulting turnaround in stock market growth and the nation's finances to a certain degree.  My, what a coincidence!  I'm sure it was all due to the leadership of President Clinton who was extremely busy wooing the affections of a young intern named Monica "Blew-Insky"!

Victory is not a panacea, especially this time

Yes, victory over the disingenuous, leftist, race-baiting, Constitution-trashing demagogues who infest the democRAT party will be sweet this November but let's not pop the cork on the champagne just yet.  Reality check, please?

If it's true that history is our greatest teacher, let us harken back to the days when another group of un-Constitutional leftists were spanked hard at the ballot box.  The Republican landslide of 1994 and the Contract With America seems like yesterday for me. Times were tough, I was out of work and had plenty of time to devote to C-SPAN.  In fact, I watched the first 100 days with Newt Gingrich at the helm.

The thing I remember most from those first 100 days was the absolute hysteria provided free-of-charge by the democRAT party.  Expert demagogues such as Major Owens, David Bonior, Barney Frank, Rosa DeLauro, George Miller & that "Georgia Peach" himself John Lewis.  Each time a reform was brought to the House floor, these lying, race-baiting scoundrels would bally-hoo to the heavens.  In particular, when welfare reform was unveiled, John Lewis stepped up to the microphone and took the cake with this classic quote comparing the GOP to Nazis:

"Read the Republican contract.  They're coming for our children.  They're coming for the poor.  They're coming for the sick, the elderly and the disabled."

Here's a link to a story containing video if you would like some real first-rate entertainment:
http://www.businessandmedia.org/articles/2010/20100330173306.aspx

You owe it to yourself to remember well the leftists' assault on the Contract With America because it is emblematic of their assault on the Constitution and freedom as well.  It's clearly obvious that they care about neither, all they care about.....is CONTROL.  When Speaker Boehner (R-OH) picks up that gavel in January, it will be open season for antics which will make those in 1995 pale by comparison.  Any attempt to cut spending or freeze it at current levels will be demagogued as an attempt to "kick old people in gutters" or "give tax breaks to the rich at the expense of the middle class and the poor".  Just you wait, reform will be a heck of alot harder than people think and just because we win an election doesn't mean we will be able to clean up this mess, especially with a Marxist in the Oval Office!

About the best we can hope for......is "Gridlock".

The democRATs in control of government throughout most of the 20th century created a "house of cards" which was powered by the unlimited printing of money by the Federal Reserve, to be handed out like Christmas gifts every 2 weeks in exchange for votes.  Everyone knows the system WILL IMPLODE but only one party has ever sought to do anything about it and this highlights the one hideous difference between the two parties.

The people in control of the democRAt party WANT AN ECONOMIC COLLAPSE.  Why?  Because collapse is the recipe for totalitarianism.

It's nice to see....

It's nice to see at least ONE state in this country wake the **** up.  Congrats to all the Traditional-Constitutionalists in Delaware, now let's see if the rest of your fellow citizens wake-up in time for the general election in 48 days.

I'm not getting my hopes too high.

Crunch Time for America

We're getting "down to the short rows" as they'd say in the hills of East Tennessee folks.  That's right, fifty-something days and a wake-up until Americans have the opportunity to partially correct the biggest electoral mistake since the Goldwater vs. Johnson election of 1964.

Yet another wild election swing (which MAY result in both Houses of Congress going GOP) will prove my contention that we have a "windshield-wiper electorate" in today's America.  People go to the ballot box angry, confused and ready to strike out.  As a result, they cast their precious vote for anyone who "isn't the current ***hole in office, making the decisions".

These voters don't understand the intricacies of politics nor do they understand most of the issues.  If you ask them why manufacturing jobs have been leaving the country in droves over 20 years, they will give you the classic answer: CHEAP LABOR.  Little do they understand that it is by their OWN HAND at the ballot box that America has become inhospitable to business.

Voters have suckered for class warfare peddling demagogues just like Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, that big business is getting away with murder and government needs to make them "pay their fair share".  Sound familiar?  All the while, these businesses have given untold millions of dollars to political campaigns, as a sort of "protection racket" that could make only the Mafia proud.

People better wake-up, though I fear it's just too late.  Too little production, far too much debt.  Default isn't far off and the only way out as Marc Faber puts it?  "Print...print....PRINNNNT!"  Let's put it this way, I'd love to be the guy selling the U.S. Treasury its printing ink by the 55 gallon drum.

When the dollar collapses, it will erase the middle class from existence.  Obama will truly earn his new nickname: the Poverty President.

Alarming election trends...scary!

All across the land, I see the wrong people, namely millionaires who SELF-FUND their campaigns, winning Republican primaries, to wit:

1) In Tennessee: Bill Haslam instead of solid conservatives Zach Wamp or Ron Ramsey
2) In Michigan: Rick Snyder instead of solid conservative Pete Hoekstra
3) In California:  Carly Fiorina instead of solid conservative Chuck Devore
4) In Connecticut: Linda McMahon instead of solid conservative/libertarian Peter Schiff
5) In Tennessee: Chuck Fleischmann instead of solid conservative Robin Smith

I've had it folks!  People needed to wake the F up and they didn't. I'm really convinced that the bell tolls for the death of our republic.  We are spending BILLIONS like they're MILLIONS.  Our percentage of unemployed population has grown by the biggest margin in the past 60 years and the best part........?

The Federal Reserve is BUYING OUR OWN DEBT with printed "fiat" currency.  This is the sure-fire sign of a dying society.  It's over!

Tennessee: A "Purple State"?

The recent repudiation of Rep. Zach Wamp (R-TN3) in the Tennessee Governor primary on August 5th has frankly scared me like a democRAT voter in August of 1996 when welfare reform was signed by "BJ" Clinton!

That's right folks.  As a devout Tennessean who loves this state with every fibre of his being, I cannot for the life of me, comprehend how a "plutocrat-politician" like Bill "Big Oil" Haslam was able to beat a "Reagan-esque" conservative statesman like Zach Wamp.

Wamp has a 15 year record in the U.S. House of Representatives of absolute devotion to our Founding Documents and he scared the living "dogsqueeze" out of leftists like SCOTUS Justice Elena Kagan who seek to re-write the Constitution at every turn for the good of government.  He assembled a team of admirable managers who could promulgate his "20/20 Vision for Tennessee" to all of our 95 counties.  He had dutiful bloggers like "your truly" out trumpeting the message from electronic "rooftops" unabashedly to help save Tennessee....and a nation from the assault of a charismatic Marxist demagogue named Barack Hussein Obama.

But much like Barry Goldwater in 1964, our statesman went down to defeat.  The question is: Why?  I believe it has to do with something that I've opined about (ad nauseum) for almost 5 years on the Meat and Potatoes Blog.  Any guesses as to what I'm talking about? :)

We are a nation that is too concerned with winning "American Idol" than we are with winning "American Freedom"!  I ask you Tennessee folks, whom I adore tremendously:  "How many times did you hear someone talking about the virtues of Bill Haslam's agenda for our state and his conservative record of leadership?"  All they heard about was a "wascally Washington Republican named Zach Wamp"! lol

Much like Americans in 1964, Tennesseans were DUPED into believing a  facade.  Back then it was the "Daisy Ad" where LBJ tried to convince people that Barry Goldwater would embroil us in a nuclear war.  Today, it was a "Washington Panic", where the Haslam team was successful in linking Zach Wamp to 4 years of radical and reckless democRAT control of Congress.

Tennesseans better wake-up real fast and realize that their freedoms hang in the balance with each and every day.  I hope Haslam gets up the guts to protect them, IF he's elected governor.  For now, I will take a look at democRAT Mike McWherter for the election this Nov. because he seems MORE conservative than Haslam!

I believe someday that people looking back on this Republican Governor's primary will see the mistake that Tennesseans made and they will label it our "Barry Goldwater Moment".

10 Reasons WHY I voted for Zach Wamp

Over decades of good times and little strife, the American electorate has become apathetic and ignorant towards politics. Sure, many of the people out there still vote but when asked why they voted for a candidate, they will give silly, embarrassing answers such as:

1) Well he seems like a really nice guy.
2) He's got a fire in his belly for serving.
3) I like his family, they seem like nice people.

Notice what is absent?  Simply, what the candidate STANDS FOR and how it aligns with the individual in question's own views.  I've come up with a term for these people who vote for a candidate but don't really know why.  In keeping with our annoying tendency to hyphenate the word "American", I thought I'd join the lunacy and coin another one: Igno-American.

This patriot is proud to say that I'm NOT an Igno-American and to prove it, I'll give you my Top 10 reasons why I voted for Rep. Zach Wamp (R-TN3) to serve as Tennessee's next governor.

1) He is a God fearing man, who respects America's Christian heritage and cherishes the sanctity of human life.
2) He's a family man who has helped to raise 2 mature, responsible kids alongside a strong matriarch, his wife Kim.
3) He believes in the "Original Intent" of the United States Constitution and will defend it against those who seek to re-write it.
4) He knows that the ONLY way Tennesseans can enjoy true prosperity is by PRODUCING our way there. That means jobs!
5) He values education at the earliest stage of childhood development with specific emphasis on reading proficiency.
6) He understands the assault on personal firearm ownership is NOT going away, despite recent Supreme Court victories.
7) He understands intimately how Washington, DC works with its backroom deals, pork-barrel projects and unfunded mandates.
8) He will stand up to a charismatic Marxist demagogue like Barack Obama & tell him where to stuff his mandates. :-)
9) He's a man of moral courage. He does the right thing because it's the right thing to do. ALWAYS!
10) He supported our brave troops in Iraq during the darkest hour, as democRATs came within "inches" of legislating a defeat. In doing so, he laid his entire future political career on the line and gave our troops as well as the Iraqis, the time they desperately needed.

Feel free to print out this list and distribute it, post it, throw darts at it (if you're a government loving liberal) or whatever.  Just be sure to give a little credit to good ole "Meat and Taters". :-)~

TN GOV race: Wamp v. Haslam

Those who read this blog with any regularity know that I'm extremely proud (and even a tad boastful) about living in the "Volunteer State".  My time here has only been a short period, yet I know this is where I'll spend the rest of my years.  The only other state where I would consider living is one with an awesome governor named Rick Perry but it's just too dang hot out there in Texas!

People all over Tennessee, out in small towns like Washburn, Sneedville, Bean Station and Luttrell exemplify the spirit of rugged individualism and personal responsibility that built this country over the past couple centuries.  These people stand for a hard day's work, honesty and they love their freedom guaranteed under the U.S. Constitution.  What some of them may not know...is that our Constitution is under an almost daily assault from leftists (i.e. statists, socialists, Marxists, communists) who have seized power in Washington, DC and are relentless in their quest to "transform America".

Who will protect Tennessee from this threat going forward over the next 4 years?  The answer is Congressman Zach Wamp (R-TN3).  For 15 years, Zach Wamp has been in our nation's House of Representatives, fighting to protect our Constitution's ORIGINAL INTENT and stop the assault of people who "never met a freedom they truly liked".  Unlike Pilot Oil Corporation magnate Bill Haslam, who has served as Mayor of Knoxville for 6 1/2 years, Zach has a FIFTEEN YEAR VOTING RECORD.  If you've attended City Council meetings as I have, you've noticed Mayor Haslam being careful to "sit the fence" on controversial issues, more on that later. So the question begs asking:  How DO YOU KNOW where the Mayor stands on challenging issues which will affect our children's futures, when there is no verifiable record for reference?

By going to a non-partisan voting statistic site called www.OnTheIssues.org you can ascertain Wamp's level of Constitutional devotion and dedication to preserving the traditional America we know and love.  Heck, I packed up and escaped Massachusetts 10 years ago because the "old America" was gone up there.  I'm determined to keep it here in Tennessee!

Let's say you are dedicated to preserving life.  By going to the "On The Issues" website, you'll see that Zach Wamp has a 100% rating with pro-life groups.  You'll also snicker when you see that the pro-abortion group NARAL gave him a 0% rating!  Perhaps you're a bit concerned with the ability to protect your family and property with a firearm?  Just page down to the 2nd Amendment section and you'll see that Zach has an "A" rating with the NRA.  You can also look at any votes he's cast on applicable gun issues.

Speaking of gun issues...... Remember that little issue in Knoxville with "right-to-carry in parks"?  Where did Mayor Haslam stand when it came up before the City Council for a vote?  Nobody knows because Mayor Haslam sat that fence like a true politician.  Ultimately, the resolution was defeated due to fear-mongering by the anti-gunners and a lack of leadership by Mr. Mayor but that's ok because Knox County (where I live and frolic) passed the SAME type of resolution for its parks.  Would you believe Rep. Zach Wamp, as a TRUE STATESMAN made his strong support of the resolution widely known and even attended the Knox County Commissioners' meeting?  Now I can't give ole Zach credit for the resolution's success but I'd like to think he had a tiny bit of influence on the outcome! :-)

Folks, I'm not going to pontificate here ad nauseum about how much I respect and admire Zach Wamp for his dedication to our nation and its Constitution.  I'll leave you to do your own research "on the issues" from now until August 5th.  Let me say that while I also admire and respect Mayor Haslam, I'm not willing to place the future security of Tennessee in the hands of a Mayor Michael Bloomberg-style plutocrat at this crucial juncture.  I'm afraid he will equivocate and sell us out like John McCain, Lamar Alexander and other pseudo-Republicans.  The times we face are just too daunting and the consequences of a wrong decision could be devastating to our state's future.  Just take a look at Michigan!  I work up there and I can tell you it's a mess.

Watch the TNGOV debates either on Youtube or CSPAN.org and you'll see that Zach Wamp is a man of character, experience, conviction, vision and most important of all....moral courage.  He put everything on the line and stood up for our troops in Iraq when THEY NEEDED HIM THE MOST!

Here's the video from May 2, 2007 to prove it:  http://www.house.gov/wamp/media/Override.Veto.wmv

A cowardly, lying cop in NYC gets "let-off"

There's a travesty of justice occurring in the Big Apple and all should be concerned, especially the NYPD for their reputation is at stake.

A cowardly liar who used to wear a badge and a gun was let-off without ANY punishment after being found guilty of assaulting a bicycle rider, filing FALSE police reports and violating his OATH taken in order to assume awesome police powers in our society.  Proving the case was a "slam dunk" as there was videotape contradicting the cop's lies.  NYC paid the bicycle rider $65,000 not to sue.

The coward (who reportedly cried as he left the courtroom) is named Patrick Pogan and his story has been covered previously here at the Meat and Potatoes Blog in my "Cops Gone Wild" segment.  Other super-aggressive police would be well advised to learn the story of this miscreant and seek help if they can't control their tempers.  Video cameras are rolling everywhere and if you abuse your powers when you wear a uniform "financed by the people you serve and protect", YOU WILL GO DOWN.

The good news is even though "Puss-boy" Pogan escaped punishment, he will never serve as a police officer again.  May I suggest he run for political office as a democRAT?  In the spirit of impeached PERJURER Bill Clinton, Patrick would fit right in!  :-)

People are waking up....Thank God!

A Rasmussen Poll yesterday confirmed something that I've hoped and prayed would happen since December 1998:  America is waking up!  Why did I realize we needed a wake-up call that far back?  The Clinton Impeachment.

Simply, Bill "the Father of 9/11" Clinton should have been impeached and removed for his "high crimes and misdemeanors", namely perjury while serving as our nation's "chief law enforcement officer".  The Republicans fought long and hard against public opinion and managed to give Clinton the "scarlet letter" he will forever wear for the rest of American history.  The bigger tragedy was that our country had become apathetic, ignorant & just downright stupid.  A wake-up call was sorely needed and when 9/11 occurred, once again thanks to Mister Perjury, I prayed it would wake the country up permanently.  It didn't and I realized more PAIN was needed.

About 2 years ago, I met with plenty of criticism over this comment:  "I welcome this economic pain for America and hope it gets worse, not because I'm a misanthrope mind you but because I realize pain wakes people up!"  Look at the pain around us today and try to claim that it isn't responsible for a FULL 1/2 OF AMERICANS NOW BELIEVING THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS A THREAT!

That's right folks, if you go to the Rasmussen Reports website, you'll see that only 37% of people think government is the answer to solving all your problems in life.  Who are these people?  The "Obama Drones".  These people are the core of Obama's support and will never leave his side no matter what happens.  They consist of lazy, uneducated, entitlement mindset types, many of which are minorities and live in the inner cities.  Just look at a night-time view of the United States from outer space and then overlay this on a red/blue map from the 2008 presidential election.  Wherever you see lots of lights (cities), you'll also see the color BLUE.  The inner cities are democRAT strongholds because this is where the "Obama Drones" mainly infest.

One more very important point about the Rasmussen Poll yesterday concerns the 15% "Not Sure" factor.  If someone is asked whether or not the government poses a threat and they answer "Not Sure", it is most likely because they are LEANING YES but afraid to say it.  So, I have taken it upon myself to add them to the 48% who see our federal government as a major threat.

This gives us a GRAND TOTAL of 63% who either see federal government as a major threat or SUSPECT it to be so.  Good news for those of us Grassroot Troopers who have been fighting for so long to wake the damn country up and not a moment too soon!

What McChrystal is doing.....I know

One thing you'll always get from my polemic efforts is a unique analysis.  A perspective shaped by a variety of experiences, different career paths and a whole ton of adversity.  Whether it be losing my entire family by age 29, suffering through 4 tumultuous years at the U.S. Naval Academy or being stuck on a NRF frigate (USS Valdez FF-1096) for 3 insufferable years as a SWO when I wanted to be a Navy pilot, I learned lessons on coping and perseverance that will last a lifetime.  I've learned an appreciation for the things others take for granted.

When I heard that Gen. Stanley McChrystal, USA gave a leftist reporter from "Rolling Stone" magazine unlimited access to himself and his staff over in Afghanistan, I thought to myself "Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over?" That's pilot talk for "What the F---?", feel free to use it.  I then went back and read things I wrote last year when Gen. McChrystal was terribly disrespected by President Obama.  How you may ask?

He was blown off by Obama for 3 months on a troop request in what has ALLEGEDLY BEEN our most important and real war, according to the democRATs: the War in Afghanistan.  Obama received the troop request in late August 2009 and didn't give an answer until AFTER the November elections (when he got creamed).  Obama purposefully waited until after the elections so as not to alienate the 60's hippie, draft-dodger types and even then only approved HALF THE TROOPS.  He also instituted timetables for withdrawl, a hallmark of left-wing democRAT cowards who couldn't fight a war if OUR LIVES depended on it!

Remember the circus-stunt, photo-op at West Point on 12/1/09?  I wrote on my Twitter page at the time:  "General McChrystal should wait until 30 minutes before the Obama speech at West Point and RESIGN out of disrespect."  When our military commanders are fighting a war, our politicians have one responsibility:  To make sure they have what they need, if it's available.  Period!

I believe Gen. McChrystal spent the next several months wishing he HAD resigned either before or after the West Point speech by Dumbo the Puppet.  Especially after Obama changed the "rules of engagement" and we started losing more soldiers, McChrystal began to adopt what I've called a "Captain Ramius Philosophy".  You'll remember Sean Connery playing the part of a ballistic missile submarine commander in "The Hunt for Red October".  He becomes so disgusted with his civilian superiors, he decides to defect with a submarine to the United States.  In similar fashion, Gen. McChrystal chose to stick his thumb in the eye of Obama, Biden, Holbrooke and Eikenberry.

Make no mistake about it.  This move by McChrystal isn't poor judgement, it was done purposefully and it was done with the best of intentions for our country and its military.  With one magazine article, the General has turned a laser-like focus on the disaster that Obama has created in Afghanistan.  He has forced Obama to put full reliance on another General who the left has ridiculed and mocked with terms such as "Betray-Us".  Best of all, he and his staff have spilled the beans on a democRAT administration of cowards, thugs and liars who never should have been elected by an American electorate which is apathetic, immature and woefully ignorant.

Just think, if we had a General this courageous during the Johnson administration, we could have avoided that little quagmire called "Vietnam".

America better get "Gung Ho"

Years ago, when we used the expression "Rust Belt", people understood we were talking about cities like Allentown, Pittsburgh, Youngstown and Sandusky.  Today, the term can apply to any city in America where manufacturing has sadly departed.  Over time, we've allowed politicians to make our country as inhospitable to free market capitalism as a "roach motel" is towards insects.

So what happened?  The manufacturing headed out for an environment with less litigation, less onerous regulation, lower taxes and yes the liberal democRAT favorite, lower labor costs.  Can you blame them?  Of course not, unless you're a misinformed democRAT voter or a disingenuous charlatan like Julian Epstein.  Businesses will relocate to wherever they enjoy the lowest costs and realize the highest profits.  And guess what?  You want it that way.  Profitable, successful businesses develop better products and services which provide benefits to the entire world.  Look at what the Japanese did to the auto industry in the 1980's and you'll see a benefit that Americans enjoyed mightily.  Not only did we gravitate toward those nifty, efficient, well-built "riceburners", we witnessed 1,000's of our fellow Americans building them in factories across the country.

The entertaining and informative story of the Japanese-American auto relationship is told in one of my favorite 80's movies, "Gung Ho".  The movie is filled with many educational metaphors and is quite prophetic in a sense of how it showed America its coming demise.  When you look at the massive increase in our deficits, ballooning trade deficits, loss of our dollar's value and worst of all, a GDP which is made up of not production but personal consumption, "Gung Ho" was a movie far ahead of its time!

I urge you (as an informed patriotic Grassroots Trooper) to get ahold of this movie and watch it.  First of all, you will laugh your butt off at some of the dialogue, for example: Oishi Kazihiro screaming at his family: "No more Jimmie Dean! No more Hawaiian Punch! No more Green Giant frozen niblets!"  Secondly, you will enjoy the traditional, wholesome nature which is characteristic of most 80's movies.  By far though, your biggest benefit will come from lessons about honesty, the work ethic and America's once great do-or-die spirit.  The last 20 minutes of the film are extremely inspiring and could be motivational to even the biggest FREE handout-luvin' democRAT voter!

If this country is going to survive as a republic for any significant length of time, we better get "Gung Ho" about entrepenurship and making things for the rest of the world to consume.  Otherwise, we will continue our slow and painful fall from grace, eventually coming to rest in the ash heap of history.  The main character in "Gung Ho", played by Michael Keaton said it best:

"Sure, the great old American do-or-die spirit.  Yeah, it's alive... But they've got it!  Well I'll tell you something....We better get it back.  WE BETTER GET IT BACK DAMN FAST!"

As a bonus for my beloved "Meat and Potatoes Loyalists", I've included links to a couple of the inspiring songs from the movie soundtrack.  The first is "Breakin' the Ice" by Martha Wash and the second is "Workin' Class Man" by Jimmie Barnes.

Which disaster is bigger: Obama or the Gulf?

First of all, there's a Congressman from NC who needs a serious butt-whoopin'.  If it was my son who got manhandled by Bob Etheridge (D-NC), I'd be driving up to DC to call him out.  There's no excuse for his behavior and only one way to deal with it.  Hats off to the college student for not smashing those pretty dentures right down his throat!

There's a bigger mess than that sorry Congressman in DC and that's the Obama administration.  After 58 days, I think it's safe to say that Obama and his minnions have blown it big time.  If you watched his speech last night, you could see a man who looked like a battered and bloody boxer in the ring, swinging wildly and blindly but connecting with nothing.  The lies were so glaring and numerous, you could just feel the desperation.

Of course, we know why Obama lies so much; because he realizes enough of the electorate is poorly educated and ignorant enough to believe any smelly stuff he shovels.  We should relegate fossil fuels to the ash heap and switch to a "green energy" source with costs paid by middle class folks who are already taxed to the hilt?  Sounds good to a dunderhead who lines up outside Cobo Center in Detroit looking for some "Obama stash money"!

Bottom line is that Obama is nothing more than a shameless political opportunist who doesn't give two craps about the oil spill or the people suffering down there.  If he did care, the speech last night would have come FIFTY DAYS AGO!  Furthermore, he would not have brought up this stupid "cap and trade" energy tax scheme that he's been trying to shovel our way for 18 months and might have passed but for his obsession with ramming socialized healthcare down our throats!

The really sad thing is.... As bad as this oil spill seems to all Americans, it is merely the "calm before the storm".  When we finish suffering through FOUR YEARS of this sorry excuse for a president, the looming debt crisis, unfunded liabilities and massive loss in our dollar's value will bring the country to its knees.

Then we will wistfully remember the "good ole days", when an oil spill was all we had to worry about.

Gulf Oil Spill: Obama's "Katrina"

If you haven't figured it out by now, this oil spill in the Gulf is turning into Obama's "Katrina". It is proving Obama to be an inept, empty suit, "Man-Child" who can't deal with disasters which threaten the USA, nevermind give a speech without the use of a teleprompter. The difference this time (from Katrina) is that Obama doesn't have an inept governor and idiot mayor to blame for the mess.  Some brief thoughts from my Twitter page about Dumbo the Puppet's response:

Theres 1 potential UPSIDE to the string of disasters in America. The "Man-Child" will be too busy to destroy the rest of our economy!

You folks along the Gulf coast are lucky.  Obama took 90 days to approve Gen. McChrystal's request for more troops in Afghanistan. Only 8 days for you!  Don't you feel lucky?

The IRONY of this BP oil spill is delicious! The delayed federal government response will have the Greenpeace nutjobs mad at a leftist democrat president. :-)

And about the massive flooding in Nashville, TN yesterday......

A word to you wise TN folks. Dont expect any help from Obama on this Nashville flooding. He's too busy screwing everything else up!

Nobody in the MSM will cover massive flooding in Nashville. Now if it was a Republican president & it was in Memphis? hmmm

Hey TN Gov. Bredesen, if you need help w/ the Nashville flooding, you better ask Pres. "Dumbo" today. It takes him about 8 DAYS to respond!

Obama, the "Screw-Up Man-Child President"! Cant restart an economy, cant give a speech w/o a teleprompter, cant deal w/ a spill!

And about Janet Napolitano on Fox News Sunday yesterday......

Janet Napolitano looked like the wife of Count Dracula on Fox News Sunday. I do believe she needs a new fashion consultant!

If Count Dracula had to wake-up next to Napolitano each evening, he'd be driven to only drink the blood of boozers!
