Corker and Alexander have to go....

Tennesseans have to unite from the Tri-Cities to Memphis.  We have a daunting task before us that must be accomplished and that is to get rid of TWO SOCIALISTS WHO SHAME THE LIVING CRAP OUT OF US.  That's right, two Democrats in sheep's clothing who must be sent packing soon. 
 
Our two targets for the future are Bob Corker and Lamar Alexander, both of which voted for expanding socialist medicine via the State Children's Health-care Insurance Program (SCHIP).  This program was originally intended for people below the poverty line but the legislation approved by Corker and Alexander will provide FREE care to families making up to as much as $83,000.  Now you tell me why a family making that much money would need a hand-out from taxpayers?  Folks, we already have the elderly getting socialized medical care with a program called medicare (the program is absolutely bankrupt by the way).  Socialists know that the best way to bring about socialized medicine for everybody is by using "back-door" tactics.  By offering free care to children of MIDDLE CLASS families, they know it will be much easier to seize the medical sector which represents 1/6th of the U.S. economy!
 
By joining socialists on Capitol Hill, Alexander and Corker (already on my S-List for approving a tax cheat as Treasury Secretary) have violated the trust of all Tennesseans.  This violation of the public trust must not be tolerated and punishment must be given to these two individuals promptly.  We Tennesseans (especially Eastern ones) are rugged individuals who want government OUT OF OUR LIVES, not firmly in control of it each and every time we attempt to get medical care for ourselves and our loved ones.  Anyone who attempts to join the assault on our liberty by buddying up with socialists like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and of course, Barack Hussein Obama deserves the strictest condemnation and the Meat and Potatoes Blog is surely here to give it!

The Beginning of the end...

This is perhaps the most stunning entry I've made on this column since its start in April 2006.  Pay attention and let my words sink in.  I've said these words many times but never written them, not anywhere.  This time I have more to add and it is chilling, indeed.
 
The Bill Clinton presidency was THE BEGINNING OF THE END FOR AMERICA.  That's right the beginning of a slow, painful, downward slide that was temporarily halted during the Bush years.  Remember that the Bush presidency was an accidental presidency where the candidate won election almost by divine providence.  He lost the popular vote and managed to defeat Al Gore in his homestate of Tennessee.  Both of these events are historic and miraculous when you think about them.  Simply, Gore should have won in 2000.
 
The victory of Barack Obama means a continuation of the Clinton era that would have been continued by Al Gore.  The downward slide of this country to utter doom has resumed with a force and fury that is truly frightening.  This momentum is growing swiftly and will not be stopped unless enough Americans wake-up in time to neutralize it.  In short, the greatest representative republic on the face of the earth, the United States of America is dying a slow, horrifying death.

A word to you "Re-puss-icans" on Capitol Hill

Someone on Capitol Hill reads this blog from time to time so guess what I'm doing?  I'm laying down the gauntlet for you "Re-puss-icans" on Capitol Hill who think spending a trillion dollars of printed/borrowed money might be a good idea, so that the money can be given to political buddies, pork-barrel projects and just be wasted outright.  Kind of like the "Big Dig" in Bahhh-ston, remember that little gem?
 
A word of warning for you guys up there with the shaky knees:  If you even think of drinking the Obama "Kool-Aid" on this so-called "stimulus package" and end up voting for it in significant numbers, I'm done with you, the RNC, Republican National Trust, the Heritage Foundation, the Michelle Bachmann (MN) campaign, the Bill Russel (PA) campaign and any other cause desiring my hard earned cash!  I will stick with one organization of a political nature and that is the National Rifle Association, where I'm a proud LIFETIME member.  Only God above will end that affiliation someday, who knows when.
 
If the Democrat-Socialists who run our "nation held hostage" want to pass this legislation, let them do it alone.  They've got the votes for crying out loud, certainly in the House of Representatives where there's no supermajority requirement.  In the Senate, make an appeal to moderate Democrats (if they exist) to oppose this disaster in waiting.  Some may even join a "filibuster" but it will ONLY WORK IF ALL REPUBLICANS HOLD THE LINE!!!
 
And if you're wondering what I mean by "significant numbers", I suppose any GOP support of this socialistic monstrosity that exceeds 10 percent of the voting members would qualify as "significant".  That would mean 4 members in the Senate and 20 members in the House of Representatives.  If you "RE-PUSS-ICANS" lose your will to fight and give-in to these socialists, you'll lose one of the biggest mouths in town with energetic fingertips and deep pockets to boot!  I'VE HAD IT WITH YOU GUYS, YOU HEAR ME?  I'VE HAD IT!

Inflation....can be good, right guys?

We all know what promotes inflation right guys?  Curves in the right places, a nice "waist to hip angle" as I like to call it.  This is the good kind of inflation, though it CAN get a guy into trouble if he's not careful.

Then there's the bad kind of inflation.  This inflation can get a NATION into trouble, so much trouble in fact, that the nation crumbles and disappears from existence!  I'm talking about when a nation like the United States, begins to print money like it's going out of style to pay off crazy spending plans.

Let me keep it simple because you like it that way.  A country can only have as much money in its financial system as dictated by Gross Domestic Product (GDP).  Let's say you go into your basement and begin printing money you never earned.  That would be called what? Counterfeiting.  If you were caught passing such worthless money in exchange for goods, you would be arrested and sent up the river to meet and greet a cell mate named "Bubba". 

What happens to the omnipotent Federal Government when they print up billions of dollars with no increase in our country's net worth?  NOTHING!  Now you tell me that's proper, fair or just?

Everytime government prints up more money, they DILUTE the money supply so that our currency stinks.  Just like when you mix up a big ole batch of kool-aid and someone puts too much water in it.  Tastes like crap right?  Well our money supply isn't going to be worth crap if this Obama stimulus package passes the Congress and the printing presses go into high gear at the Federal Reserve.  Think about it!

All the money you have worked so hard to earn and save (after taxes mind you) will in effect, BE TAXED AGAIN as inflation (the bad kind) kicks in and your money loses value at the rate of 15 to 20 percent per year.  Don't drink the kool-aid folks, look up the Weimar Republic if you don't believe me.  They printed money like crazy and it sent Germany into the crapper until the Nazi party could gain control.  We know what happened after that....yikes!

Obama killing civilians!

Goodness!  He hasn't been in office a week and Obama is already out killing innocent civilians in Afghanistan.  What in the world is the left-wing going to do with this warmonger?  I'm in shock my fellow Meat and Potatoes Loyalists!  If anyone would be sensitive to the plight of innocent civilians I thought it would be a guy who demagogued the "War on Terror" with that now famous quote: "Our troops are air-raiding villages and targeting civilians...."  Yeah, I guess we are President Obama and this time it's your fault.  We should change your name to "President Obama:  the village air-raider", what do you think of that?  Of course, I'm being facetious folks and giving the left-wing a little bit back in their sorry, cowardly, hypocritcal faces.  Perhaps this event, 5 days into the Obama presidency will teach the boneheads out there just how difficult it is fighting a war against "unlawful enemy combatants" (AKA terrorists) who blend in with civilians, hide weapons in their basements and take shelter in their homes.  (Oh, how I pray for this to occur.....)
 
To quote Bruce Willis in "Diehard":  "Welcome to the party PAL!"  This is the "War on Terror" and President Bush fought it for 7 years dealing with the same kind of mishaps.  First I want to see your buffoon of a Press Secretary actually call this war what it is when he's in a press briefing and then we'll see if you age as gracefully fighting this war over the next 4 years, Mister Obama.
 
One final thought:  If we must be consistent in dealing with the left-wing losers who went after President Bush over similar events, I think John Conyers (Congressman from that shining city on the hill...Detroit) should begin drafting Articles of Impeachment for high crimes and misdemeanors immediately!

Obama's oath gets a do-over

Isn't it nice to see President Obama be the first president in U.S. history to be sworn in twice for the office?  Why was it necessary you may ask?  Well it would be due to an inadvertant slip of the tongue by Chief Justice John Roberts.  Poor guy, I watched Justice Roberts' confirmation hearings on C-SPAN several years ago and I don't recall him making ANY slips of the tongue.  But hey, throw in a few million people watching you during a mucho different event and those butterflies do tend to fly!  I'll cut him some slack on it.
 
But there's an important point to what I'm writing here about the presidential oath "do-over".  Why bother with it, why not just let the original swearing-in suffice?  So what if the world "faithfully" was put in the wrong spot by a nervous Chief Justice?  Because that silly little "living document" called the U.S. CONSTITUTION says every word of the oath must be uttered in a certain order.  Period!
 
Isn't it nice that a document like the Constitution, which gets trashed everytime we turn around by socialists who run our government, is sometimes respected when it comes to things like the presidential oath?  Maybe everyone should consult the Constitution regarding this Obama "stimulus package".  IS IT CONSTITUTIONAL or will we need a "stimulus package do-over" sometime in the future?

Public Sector vs. Private Sector, who will win?

I know it's the weekend and everyone is busy, busy busy!  Busy doing everything except keeping an eye on liberty, freedom and the growth/size of our federal government.  Keep in mind that government represents 1 out of every 3 to 4 jobs in our economy these days and that will grow if President Obama has his way.  In fact it will grow REGARDLESS of Obama's actions and do you know why?  Well, as this economic malaise deepens who will lose their jobs?  Will it be people in our massive government bureaucracy who are protected from such economic downturns?  OF COURSE NOT!  It will be people in the private sector at places like Wal-Mart, Circuit City, KB Toys, Starbucks, etc.  So as unemployment increases in the private sector, the ratio of government to private sector jobs will change from say 30 percent to perhaps 35 percent but it could get even higher......uh oh!
 
What could make the percentage of jobs in America being government jobs even higher?  Why, it would be the Obama "stimulus package" of course!  This exercise in "socialism gone wild" was tried before in American history.  It was called the "New Deal" and kept America in a depression throughout the 1930's.  In fact, without the benefit of World War II, the country would have been in the misery of FDR's mistakes for many more years.  Will we need a World War III to get us out of this Obama-engineered disaster?  Let's hope not!  I would rather see America just reject "New Deal 2:  The socialistic exercise in destroying American capitalism" and allow our country to come out of this funk on its own.  Will it take time?  Hell yeah, it will take time but not as much time as it will take using government gone wild and there's another thing to consider that I'll bet you never thought of....
 
Have you ever heard the saying "The remedy ended up being worse than the disease"?  If you haven't, the meaning is self-explanatory I would hope. :-)  As I stated earlier, FDR ( AKA the Father of modern day socialism) remedied our sick economy in the 1930's with the same kind of "economic stimulus" that the Obama administration is offering.  He created government agencies like Fannie Mae which grew into MASSIVE GOVERNMENT JUGGERNAUTS and ended up imploding upon themselves to bring down our economy.  As we look back to 1938 when Fannie Mae was created, we think to ourselves, the FDR remedy was surely worse than the disease. (sob sob sob..)
 
Let us be students of history and be wiser than those Americans who have gone before us.  We know that socialism will never solve our country's economic woes because SOCIALISM IS THE CAUSE OF OUR COUNTRY'S WOES!!!  How can the cause of a problem be its cure?  Will someone please expain that to me before I go insane and go running around the Rayburn Office Building wearing no clothes!
 
Please folks, oppose this stimulus package with every fibre of your being.  I was just down at the local barbershop and a fine southern gentleman almost made me jump up out of the barber's chair (at risk of serious injury, mind you) when he stated that the Obama stimulus was a good idea and badly needed to avoid another Great Depression.  Sorry folks, I just couldn't resist turning into THE INFORMER right there as my "mop" was being reduced to something manageable!  I put on my instructor's hat (not literally) and proceeded to embarrass this gentleman by asking him what caused the Great Depression.  He admitted he didn't know the answer so I asked him what got us out of the Great Depression.  He didn't know that either.  I went into a lengthy discourse for about the next 10 minutes that left everyone in the barbershop speechless including the barber!  
 
The cause of the Great Depression was poor monetary policy on the part of the federal government in response to the stock market crash of 1929.  Money supply was kept too tight and the resulting bank failures set off a wave of panic that caused "runs on banks" (where everyone lined up to get their money while fighting each other) and that caused many more failures.  Then, resulting government actions to put people back to work through SOCIALISM only caused a recession to turn into a depression.  In other words, our beloved federal government CAUSED THE CALAMITY and then made it worse than the original situation by using bad policies which prolonged the pain for America.  World War II ended up being the solution America desperately needed and this older gentleman looked at the floor speechless, a tacit admission that HE KNEW I WAS RIGHT!
 
Let us not need another World War to get us out of this crisis if government makes another fine mess of it.  Call your elected leaders in Washington, D.C. and tell all your neighbors, friends, relatives and co-workers.  This Obama stimulus package must be defeated as it takes us in a direction that history teaches us is the wrong one.  God help this country if it passes and we print up a trillion dollars of funny money that will devalue every remaining dollar you have in you bank account.  Gold prices will soar through the stratosphere as you witness inflation that will rival the Weimar Republic!  Get your wheelbarrows ready, you'll need 'em to carry around all that cash.... :-(

Inaugural Day Meat and Taters

The left-wing put on quite a show today!  Did you miss it?  Awww shucks!  It was complete with all the fanfare of anti-Bush chants by protesters and a bang-up speech by Barack Hussein Obama after his swearing in.  Did you know his middle name was Hussein by the way?  I didn't know that until Chief Justice John Roberts had President Obama repeat the ceremonial oath.  Kudos to the media for keeping that a secret for the past 18 months! :-)~
 
The President's speech was almost like a pre-election campaign speech where he espoused the typical "boilerplate" designed to pander to certain constituency groups.  There was the obligatory "the economic sky is falling chicken little" approach for the left-wing Bush haters, of course there was appreciation to military veterans to make up for classic quotes during the campaign such as: "Our troops are air-raiding villages and targeting civilians....", there was pro-capitalism and entrepeneurial speak for small businessmen and Wall Street execs but that wasn't the best part.  The classic line was given as the cameras panned over thousands of people bundled up like the kid in "A Christmas Story" as they were freezing their keesters off!  President Obama stated:  "We will address the alarming issue of global warming with green energy alternatives....."  Of course, that knee-slapper had to be thrown in for the "Enviro-Socialists" who infest Greenpeace and the Sierra Club.  Nobody was "left out in the cold" folks, except for the doggedly loyal witnesses to the inauguration that is.....
 
Myself, I set aside depression as I watched "Marine One" take President Bush to Andrews AFB and tried to emphasize the positive.  What in the world could I find to assuage my fear and apprehension about the socialistic "wealth spreading" tendencies of my new Commander-In-Chief?  Always the cheerleader for positive thinking I came to this stark conclusion after watching so many black leaders say they thought:  THIS DAY WAS NEVER POSSIBLE.
 
I realized that the black community in this country is not only filled with hate (as I wrote about last summer...look it up in the archives if you'd like to know more) but it is filled with hopelessness as well.  Honestly, I never realized this before.  I have a few black friends in aviation but most of them have been taught to ACCESS OPPORTUNITIES THAT COME WITH FREEDOM.  Thus, they are anything but hopeless and the lion's share of them are aggressive go-getters who are driven by achievement and success for the good of their family.
 
My one hope from this historic election is that President Obama will give hope to the hopeless blacks out there that anything is achievable for them if they live responsibly, set goals and find role models to inspire them.  Obama will no doubt be one of those role models along with Condoleeza Rice (the namesake for my kitty cat), Justice Clarence Thomas, Dr. Thomas Sowell (of the Hoover Institute) and Bill Cosby to name just a few.  The election of President Obama takes away ALL THE EXCUSES FOLKS!  There is no more widespread racism in this country and therefore no more need for affirmative action, which now has the unintended consequence of hurting white men.  It's time to grow up, live up to Martin Luther King Jr's expectations and exercise personal responsibility.  This would include reversing the alarming 72 percent illegitimacy rate in the black family. 
 
I hope and pray that this message will resonate across the nation in the wake of something that has been labeled as "groundbreaking" and the black community can begin to repair itself for the good of the nation.

USAirways crash and Teterboro airport

I've been holding off from saying anything about the USAirways ditching that occurred last week because I wanted to see if anyone in the NTSB or the news media would mention what I found to be obvious.
 
And that is the viability of Teterboro, New Jersey (KTEB) as an emergency landing spot.  I flew that area for many years and know the exact spot where birds were hit and power was lost at 3,200 feet.  It lines the aircraft up on an approximate 11 mile final to runway 24 at Teterboro, an approach I've flown many times in my career as a civilian pilot both in night freight and corporate aviation.
 
Now, I am not trying to take away from this hero captain and say that he did anything wrong.  There are always multiple ways to deal with an emergency condition, some are better than others and you make the instantaneous decision based on what is the safest for the passengers.  In this case, the ditching went smoothly and nobody was killed.  Had it turned out very differently, perhaps more emphasis would have been put on the availability of Teterboro as an emergency landing site.
 
Using google earth, I measured the distance the aircraft covered from the time of power loss versus the distance to the threshold of runway 24 at Teterboro.  Modern jets have amazing glide distances, owing to the fact that their hulls are aerodynamic and sport very little "form drag".  After the loss of power, the aircraft was able to glide approximately 14 miles to its landing spot in the Hudson abeam the USS Intrepid museum.  The distance to the threshold of runway 24 at Teterboro was approximately 11 miles.
 
Another consideration is aircraft specific.  Could the Airbus 320 stop without reversers on a 6,000 foot runway at Teterboro?  I don't know the answer to this but I'm sure the NTSB does.  I also do not know what kind of emergency power  the Airbus was running on and how it would get its flaps and landing gear deployed on short final to landing.  These aircraft limitations may have actually decreased viability of Teterboro as an emergency landing option.
 
Once again, the captain went with the safest option and took the risk of ditching the plane which ended up saving all of his passengers and crew.  Perhaps I would have done the same, I don't know.  One can never know until they are in those same set of circumstances.  But a full analysis of this historic event DESERVES MENTION of alternative landing sites and if they could have been achieved.

Obama's Treasury Secretary...a few words

Mr. Timothy Geithner, President-Elect Barack Obama's pick for Treasury Secretary.  This man has the intelligence, matury, dedication and personal responsibility to.......

Not pay his taxes for over 4 years (totalling about  40,000) until his nomination as Treasury Secretary necessitated that he pay them.

Talk about "CHUTZPAH" folks!  I think we should tell Obama to put this guy in charge of catching tax cheats for the IRS! (smiles...)
 
Additional Sunday evening thoughts:
What is going on with these Obama cabinet appointments?  We've already seen Bill "The Big Enchilada" Richardson step down from his nomination to Commerce Secretary over a pending corruption indictment.  Eric Holder's Attorney General nomination is in jeopardy over his approving clemency for Puerto Rican FALN terrorists who made bombs and killed people.  Topping it all off, Janet Napolitano was recently revealed to be an open borders type who never met an illegal alien she didn't love!  Do we want her on the cabinet?  Nahhh!
 
We haven't seen this level of incompetence in a presidential transition since guess when?  The CLINTON ADMINISTRATION in 1993 when we had Zoe Baird and Kimba Wood to contend with as Attorney General nominees before getting stuck with Janet "El Reno".  The Obama Administration of "hope and change you can believe in" is turning into Clinton Nightmare II, the sequel!  Ignorant American voters (who don't even know which party controls Congress) have again given power to the counter-culturalist hippie movement that wants so badly to replace Christmas with a national holiday commemorating Woodstock! :-)~ (that's a joke folks...)
 
Thus, the election of Obama and the nomination of all these flawed individuals heralds the resurgence of Executive Branch control by the counter-culturalists.  THESE ARE VERY DANGEROUS TIMES and you need to make sure that all in your orb become informed of what lay ahead in the ensuing months.  This is nothing more than a continuation of the Clinton presidency and you know what we got out of that....... problems as far as the eye could see.  Towers collapsing, terrorists training all over the middle east and mortgages for everyone with a pulse regardless of their ability to pay back the money!

The KING would be proud

The "King" had another birthday last week, celebrated in absentia of course and boy did Memphis go nuts.  But it wasn't long ago that Graceland had an equally big event, do you remember what it was?  A visit by Japanese Prime Minister Koizumi and President Bush in 2006 would be the correct answer.  Guess who wrote about the significance of such an event?  Good ole Mr. Meat and Taters.  As a tribute to our outgoing Commander-in-Chief, I give you one of my favorite literary creations, so good in fact that the White House used some of it in a presidential speech at the Mayflower Hotel in November 2006!  I'm not kidding.

Those who read this blog know that I am no big fan of popular culture.  When it comes to who won the latest episode of "American Idol" or who Jessica is now dating, I feel no shame in admitting my status as an ignoramus!  I prefer to pay attention to things that may kill me or destroy the country I love, but I'm just silly that way.....

However, when popular culture intersects politics I'm all ears (and for those of you who have seen my ears, you know what I'm talking about).  Did you hear about the visit last week by President Bush and Japanese Prime Minister Koizumi to Graceland?  No doubt you saw the entertaining antics of Koizumi as he donned Elvis sunglasses, strummed his air guitar and even belted out a couple of lyrics.  It was great fun and made for a terrific "photo op" but there was something much more important in play.

Just think about it!  We had the son of a man who had killed the enemy during World War II, hanging out with the son of a man who was the enemy.  Go back 60 years and ask someone if these barbarians from Japan, who commit suicide with their aircraft will ever be our friends.  They'd say that you're crazy right?

Fast forward to present day where our brave men and women battle a fanatical enemy during much different times.  The media stands by to undermine every success and alert the enemy when new tactics are utilized.  The American public is divided bitterly and many are UNinformed about what is at stake!  It would be easy for our troops to become disenchanted and lose hope unless they become students of history and look to the lessons of the past. 

This visit by Koizumi provides just such a lesson.  It reminds the deep thinkers in our society that enemies can become friends but only if they are vanquished by the opponent who holds the moral high ground.  Just as we helped Japan rebuild its burned and smashed cities so they could become a manufacturing TITAN, we will help the middle east rebuild so their oil supplies can bring them untold riches. 

This will require vision and steadfast leadership, which we are thankfully getting from President Bush.  Living by his own words stated the day after 9/11, "We will not tire, we will not falter and we will not fail", he is remaining committed to spreading freedom so that terrorism cannot survive over the long-term and America will remain FREE!

The Seven Pillars of Liberalism

This little ditty was given to me by a young, vivacious, brilliant, gun-toting female first officer who flies for the same company I do. It's a succint representation of the unprincipled, unpatriotic jackasses who infest a once great party.  Remember my slogan for these guys?  "We start with a D, end with an S and we've got RAT in the middle." 
 
Here's how I got ahold of it.  My mood was kind of down for one reason or another that day, in other words I was "cranky Plankey".  I report to the airplane (late as usual), hastily throw my flight bag in the holder and by the way, notice long blonde hair in the seat next to me which means I really have to watch my language.  But the first thing that REALLY grabbed my attention was a bumper sticker affixed to my control column (called the yoke in an airplane).  This forward thinking gal, having heard of my reputation as a staunch conservative, actually went out and bought this item for me.  How thoughtful!  The sticker was titled "The Seven Pillars of Liberalism".  Here we go!

A- Always Blame America
C- Clinton is Good, Perjury is Very Bad
K- Kill Innocent Babies, Not Convicted Murderers
A- Al-Qaeda has Rights, Christians Do Not

S- Socialism:  There Is No Substitute
 
Anyone notice what it spells? (smiles)
 
I'd like to thank this young, conservative lady for brightening my day and changing my mood immeasurably for the better!  As one of my Meat and Potatoes Loyalists and a diehard Grassroots Trooper, she knows who she is.....

Hang onto your hats folks!  Its a bang up FNS with Chris Wallace sleeping in this morning.  Brit Hume (aka THE MAN) has the helm.  He'll be interviewing BOTH President Bush 41 and 43.  Oh shoot you missed it???
 
Calm down, calm down.  Get ahold of yourself man!  If you were too busy getting some Sunday morning racktime or pursuing something that rhymes with "Cookie", Fox News Channel will rebroadcast the episode at 6pm eastern time.  Don't miss that one!  :-)~

I called in about the pending national nightmare that awaits Americans with the Obama presidency. I've written before that this guy is going to be the black version of FDR and he sees this latest economic calamity as his golden opportunity to foist a "New Deal II" upon us.  Not so fast Mister Obama!!  Grassroots Troopers are out there and we are going to lay blame for this calamity where it belongs, squarely on the shoulders of GOVERNMENT!  So why should we trust government to fix a problem that they've created?  Think about it.
 
Now, as a bonus to all the Mark Levin Show listeners who have never been to my site, I am blowing the dust off an old favorite of Meat and Potatoes Loyalists from coast to coast.  This little ditty makes fun of those socialism loving Democrats who infest Capitol Hill.  Have a gander at these new and improved "Funny Democrat Slogans":

Stop the INSANITY!

Move over Susan Powter (Remember her? The gal with the buzz cut who could scream to the heavens?), I'm going to steal a phrase out of your playbook.  "STOP THE INSANITY AMERICA"! 
 
This time we're not talking about food, oh no.  We're talking about the so-called "stimulus package" being proposed by the Obama administration of 1 trillion dollars.  Bill Clinton tried the same thing in 1992 when he took the reigns during what was allegedly the "worst economy in 50 years", yeah right.  When you hear the phrase "stimulus package" just think of one thing:  SOCIALISM!  Our government is growing at alarming rates ladies and gentlemen.  Government has taken control of the mortgage industry, the US auto industry and the energy production industry.  Schoolchildren today are just as likely to dream of a cushy government job as children of yesteryear who dreamed about being police officers, astronauts, airline pilots or firefighters.
 
Let me ask you something:  Let's say you have a beloved family member who's a drunk.  He's lying in a hospital bed and dying of alcohol poisoning.  One more drink could push him over the edge to a sickening demise.  His doctor runs into the room and to your shock and horror, hands the patient a bottle of scotch!   Does this make any sense?
 
Face it folks, this country is suffering not from a lack of socialism (i.e. government control of the private sector) but from too much of it!  So why are we letting our newly elected "doctor" prescribe for us another bottle of scotch?  THINK ABOUT IT!
