I remember my frustration and profound disappointment in 2008 when Fred Thompson dropped out of the race. I wrote a blog called "Fred just Quit, I feel like S...!" and it's in the archives if you care to take a trip back in time by almost exactly 4 years.
Our nation is on the verge of making another colossal mistake like we did by rejecting Fred Thompson and it has to do with Rick Santorum of the Keystone State. Mistakes are usually no big deal unless you are running out of time, then they become fatal. America IS running out of time and if you don't believe me, check this out:
1) The housing market has fully collapsed and shows NO SIGN of recovering. There are homes all over the country that have been sitting empty for 3 1/2 years and many are being bulldozed because they've been ransacked for copper and other valuables.
2) The prices of everything you use in your daily life has skyrocketed: gasoline up by 85%, meats up by 50-75%, regular foodstuffs up by 35%, rents are skyrocketing as people won't buy homes, medical insurance costs have increased by 100%.
3) Our national debt has increased by 5,000,000,000,000 dollars. Our yearly deficits are 4-5 times greater than they averaged under the 8 years of President Bush. The welfare state is exploding as our revenues are dropping due to a protracted recession.
4) The number of Americans on Food Stamps (a program begun by a democRAT congress under LBJ in 1967) has increased by 45%. We've gone from about 32 million on Food Stamps to 47 million in just 3 years.
5) The Federal Reserve has kept interest rates at almost ZERO percent for the past 2 years and the economy will not turnaround. Savings interest rates are so low that you could put a million dollars in the bank and it would barely pay you $400 interest/mon.
6) Real unemployment in this country when you include those no longer looking for work and part-time employed is on the order of 18-20 percent. Not since the Great Depression have we seen this kind of unemployment in America.
This country is going down like that cruise ship off the coast of Italy and people better get a F'ing clue soon before it's too late! I'm sick of hearing people fawn over Newt's debating skills when he's got more skeletons in his closets than Bill Clinton and Elvira combined. Romney is a pseudo-democRAT for crying out loud whose own socialist state medical plan was used as the basis for Obama-care! Moreover, Romney will be ripped apart as a milquetoast, super rich fat-cat who has nothing in common with the average voter. Most of which is true!
I don't give a damn what the talking heads such as Coulter and Rove say, the only guy out there who can beat Obama like a drum is Rick Santorum. He's more conservative, level-headed, principled and trustworthy than both Gingrich and Romney combined. He's just the guy we need to get on TV and tell the dumba$$es in this country the REALITY OF OUR SITUATION:
