I may be a little distracted folks, so I apologize in advance. As I sit here and attempt to gather my thoughts, I'm listening to a retired Army Lt. Col. make a complete horses's a$$ out of himself on Kilmeade and Friends. Col. Ralph Peters, sir: Please work to preserve your image as a "knowledgeable" fellow by witholding comment on presidential primary politics and STICK TO FOREIGN AFFAIRS!
There....now I feel a whole lot better.
Not sure why Mister Meat and Taters is getting a whole lot more hits lately but I've decided it may be aprapos to get on here a bit more often as the GOP primary season is moving about as quickly as Bill Clinton into a room full of 21 year old interns! That's right folks, it's a juicy story every day for those paying attention. And I truly feel sorry for those who are disconnected because they are missing out on history in the making, someday they will regret it.
Speaking of history in the making, how about Gov. Rick Perry? He "lost the bubble" (as we used to say in the Navy), so bad that he wouldn't have found it, even if we stuffed it up his butt! I never would've thought 53 seconds can feel like eternity but after listening to Perry stammer and stumble about for exactly that long, I NOW believe it. Poor guy, Gov. Rick seems like a nice person but his gaffes remind me too much of the "Bush classics". Must be something in the Texas water, ya think?
Besides Perry, the biggest thing to happen is a flip in the polling between Cain and Gingrich. After a full, frontal leftist assault on Cain that included far-fetched sexual allegations without a shred of proof, Gingrich has slipped into second position. If anyone thinks these claims of sexual harrassment are for real, I have a bridge to sell them. C'mon folks! None of this stuff came forth during Cain's US Senate run in 2004 and none of it surfaced UNTIL Cain became a serious contender in the race. The timing of these claims and the people making them, place their credibility in serious question. I'm not buying it!
But many in the "conservative intelligentsia" and talk radio are selling Cain down the river. Instead, they are foolishly jumping after Newt Gingrich who is a FLAWED candidate. Sure, he's a brilliant fella who can talk a good game but who does that remind you of? Mister Perjury himself, Bill Clinton! Does anyone remember the Father of 9/11's masterful performances in debates agains Geo. H.W. Bush? The guy was slicker than whale snot but THAT.... was exactly the problem!!!
We need a MAN OF THE PEOPLE, a down to earth, non-politician who will run government in a new way which will engage the disconnected dunderheads and educate them about our Founding Documents. I do not believe Newt Gingrich is the person to do this. I've met Newt Gingrich a couple of times at Freedom Concerts and book signings. Their is an aroma of elitism and aloofness wafting off of this man which is unmistakable. Don't believe me? Go meet him at one of these campaign stops and see if I'm full of it.
Now, I've never met Herman Cain but I'm friends with people who have met him on a recent whirlwind tour through the state that saved the nation in 2000 by rejecting Al Gore. :-) Yes, ole Herman was in the GREAT Volunteer State recently and my "inside contact" told me that this man is the real deal, a man of the people. He may not know who the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan is or gets his nuclear info on China mixed up but who gives a rat's rear-end? THAT IS WHAT ADVISERS ARE FOR!!!
Do you think Reagan knew all this stuff? Heck no! Reagan was a smart guy but even better he was a brilliant manager, this according to my hero on the "Left Coast" Lewis K. Uhler, who worked for Reagan in the 70's when he was Governor of California. Similar to ole Ronny, Herman Cain is an affable, charismatic, capable MANAGER who will put the right people in positions necessary to properly advise him. PERIOD!
So, "Stick with Cain.....he's ABLE!" and disregard these silly, stupid sexual allegations which are as hackneyed as they are pathetic. If you don't, you'll be falling for one of the oldest tricks in the leftists "smear-book". Remember, they tried this with Clarence Thomas way back in 1992. It failed then because we wouldn't let them succeed and it will fail again because we're even stronger now!
