Reagan's 100th birthday was 2/6 and I heard very little fanfare in the "lamestream" media. Of course, I heard plenty of adulation in the media about how Barack Obama was assisting Egypt by guiding their transformation from dictatorship to democracy. Barrf!
Don't be fooled by the disinformation coming from CNN and others, Egypt will end up being ruled by a theocratic authoritarian regime just like in Iran. Radical Islamist groups like the Muslim Brotherhood will strike a deal with the Egyptian military. When this occurs, the liars in both the media and the Obama administration will find some way to spin it as another failure of the Bush administration. Rest assured that the typical "dumb masses" (who make handy democRAT dupes) will eat it up with a soup spoon and hit the grassroots with talking points memorized, ready for regurgitation. :)
Meanwhile, the smart/informed members of our society are "stocking up" as we know that wild inflation is coming. The same inflation pressures on food prices that touched off the Egyptian riots will be hitting America very soon. Food suppliers have been reluctant to raise prices but they will have no choice going forward or their already thin profit margins will disappear. Will we see riots here in the USA as a result? Let's hope not.
Our Congress is firmly entrenched in its 112th session and it appears that Republican leadership is losing its nerve. Whereas they once spoke of cuts in out-of-control government totalling "hundreds of billions", today the GOP is more willing to embrace cuts of only 32 or 50 billion. Keep in mind that Obama has managed to railroad through budgets of 3,500 billion (i.e. 3.5 trillion) with the help of willing democRAT accomplices so a cut of 32 billion would be less than 1%. Wow...what courage!
Republicans should be advised that if they continue to lose their nerve or "pu$$y-out" as I like to say, they will be shown the exits in November 2012 as millions of us vote "Third Party". Sure, this will split the Republican vote and once again place the lying leftist democRAT scumbags in FULL CONTROL of our government. C'est le vie!
Today is Lincoln's birthday and I feel it appropriate to remind everyone of a quote from his Gettysburg Address:
"...and that this government of the people, by the people and for the people, shall not perish from the earth."
Sadly, due to the collective slumber of the American citizenry, this government no longer exists in our nation. Thus, the above quote has been replaced by the "Meat and Potatoes" version:
"...and that this government of the POLITICIAN, by the LOBBYIST and for the PUBLIC SECTOR UNIONS, must perish very soon or America will collapse into chaos and limitless suffering."
The coming crisis can ONLY be rectified by an awakening at the grassroots level on a grandiose scale, the likes of which have never been seen in the history of our country.
