We're getting "down to the short rows" as they'd say in the hills of East Tennessee folks. That's right, fifty-something days and a wake-up until Americans have the opportunity to partially correct the biggest electoral mistake since the Goldwater vs. Johnson election of 1964.
Yet another wild election swing (which MAY result in both Houses of Congress going GOP) will prove my contention that we have a "windshield-wiper electorate" in today's America. People go to the ballot box angry, confused and ready to strike out. As a result, they cast their precious vote for anyone who "isn't the current ***hole in office, making the decisions".
These voters don't understand the intricacies of politics nor do they understand most of the issues. If you ask them why manufacturing jobs have been leaving the country in droves over 20 years, they will give you the classic answer: CHEAP LABOR. Little do they understand that it is by their OWN HAND at the ballot box that America has become inhospitable to business.
Voters have suckered for class warfare peddling demagogues just like Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, that big business is getting away with murder and government needs to make them "pay their fair share". Sound familiar? All the while, these businesses have given untold millions of dollars to political campaigns, as a sort of "protection racket" that could make only the Mafia proud.
People better wake-up, though I fear it's just too late. Too little production, far too much debt. Default isn't far off and the only way out as Marc Faber puts it? "Print...print....PRINNNNT!" Let's put it this way, I'd love to be the guy selling the U.S. Treasury its printing ink by the 55 gallon drum.
When the dollar collapses, it will erase the middle class from existence. Obama will truly earn his new nickname: the Poverty President.
