Four months into a painful 2010 and I'm penning my fourth blog entry of the year. I'm saving these entries for very special reasons folks and nothing could be more important than the Knoxville Tea Party and 650 others like it going on around the nation. These expressions of moral outrage and disgust are protected under our Bill of Rights and the leftists who infest the media and federal government should be applauding them just as they applauded war protests during the Bush presidency. But are they?
Surprise! Surprise! The leftists and their media allies (with exception of Fox News, of course) are trying to paint these peaceful assemblies as groups of racists, bigots and uneducated dolts. A movement is even afoot to infiltrate the tea parties with racist signage being carried by people who only believe in freedom of speech when you agree with them. People attending the gatherings better be ready for a dirty tricks campaign that would make George Soros, John Podesta, Andy Stern and other leftist thugs pleased as punch!
If you're at a Tea Party in Knoxville or elsewhere and you see questionable activity on the part of attendees such as a questionable sign or offensive language being used, attempt to investigate and document the activity. A handheld device comes in pretty handy for a picture or video to be taken. Then go on Twitter or another networking site such as Facebook to notify others that you have a scum-sucking leftist infiltrator in your midst. I would also inform the individual that I'm dropping the dime on their sorry rear-end so they might as well hit the road. I would NOT engage in a lengthy verbal or physical altercation with the person as that will only disturb the proceedings and detract from the overall mission:
"To draw the attention of fellow Americans and rescue them from 'political hibernation' so that we may wrest control of this government away from the LEFTIST DEMOCRAT party this November 2nd at the ballot box."
Taking back control of this government and restoring its Constitutional limits will be no easy task but it all starts with an election in 201 days. That's where YOU come in. Inform yourself, mobilize, dig in at the grassroots level and wake up dunderheads!
As you're talking to people at the Tea Party, try to give them ways to enrich their knowledge of Constitutionally-limited government. One great source I mention time and time again is the 1989 book by Lewis Uhler called "Setting Limits". I wrote a blog entry about this book not long ago so please page down and read "Setting Limits on Government". You'll be pleased as punch you did!
Wall Street may be celebrating but it is Main Street that is suffering. All statistics which measure the health of our economy point to a future which is going to be fraught with poverty for millions due to a government growing out of control. John Edwards was 1/2 right when he said there were "Two Americas". Remember that classic line by the proud, new father? :-) Edwards meant the rich versus the poor, a classic example of left-wing demagoguery by an expert. The REAL "Two Americas" today is government workers versus private sector workers. As the new "rich", government workers enjoy ironclad job security, excellent wages and generous pensions when they retire at an average of 55 years old. By contrast, private sector workers have little or NO job security, eroding wages and NO pension, just a paltry 401(K) if they're lucky. Most private sector workers also have to fight tooth and nail for cost of living increases that compensate for inflation. Have you taken a look at the REAL inflation in America when you account for food and fuel? It's scary!
Some people are afraid to use the "D" word but I'll use it. This country is in a Depression as evidenced by a REAL unemployment rate of almost 20 percent. Personal bankruptcies are skyrocketing and foreclosures are mounting in both the residential AND commercial real estate sector. The final nail in our coffin, financially speaking, will be hyper-inflation when the rest of the world loses faith in the true value of the US dollar. Then you will see absolute chaos ensue as people fight for basic necessities such as food.
How do we avoid it? By taking back control of our government, RESTORING LIMITS on its power using the U.S. Constitution as our guide (a road-map as Sarah Palin said) and allowing our private sector to breathe again. It all starts with the Tea Parties, which are the collective wake-up call for a nation that fell asleep for sooooo many years.
If you miss attending one without a valid reason, you are doing your nation a tremendous disservice.
