Now that Ted is gone, who will we turn to for first-rate entertainment? Who will supply the drunken rants and endless stumbling words? I think I have the answer folks, democRAT Congressman from Rhode Island, Patrick Kennedy.
You see it wasn't that long ago that Patrick made his way onto the pages of "Meat and Taters", earning himself the dubious nickname of "Ford Crash Test Dummy". In fact, my long-term fans will remember that before I found TownHall this Grassroot Trooper blogged incessantly on Myspace. Right now, you're thinking "What the heck is Myspace?" :) How quickly we seem to forget the "flash in the pan" technology of yesterday, eh folks?
It was Thursday, May 4th 2006 when I wrote about Patrick Kennedy's "brush" with the law or was it really a brush? More like priority treatment that NONE OF US WOULD RECEIVE had we been in his shoes. Read on and allow your blood to boil at the hypocrisy!

Remember the Kennedy clan's propensity for hitting the bottle? Ole Ted drove off the Chappaquiddick Bridge during the summer of love and got preferential treatment as a young girl lay dead.
Turns out the apple hasn't fallen far from the tree as Ted's son, Patrick Kennedy was stopped in DC by police at 2:45am for driving with his lights off and crashing his Ford Mustang into a concrete barrier. Upon being stopped, Kennedy staggered out of his car and declared to police, "I'm late for a vote!" Vote on what? Where to get some early morning munchies? :-)
Now, this is the part that will shock you. Kennedy was transferred to another police department and given a ride home. No sobriety test was performed. That's right, a different set of rules applies to these folks and don't you forget it. They are the elitists and we are the plebians. It is time for this nonsense to end, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
Next time you hear a Democrat talk about a "culture of corruption", we should cite Patrick Kennedy's conduct and say "Look in the mirror folks". Hey, look at the bright side.....at least this Kennedy family DWI didn't result in another dead girl. Whew!

Since this event, Patrick has been in and out of treatment centers for substance abuse. I have no issue with his personal demons, rather I have a major issue with his effort to SUBVERT MY U.S. CONSTITUTION. For this I will not stand and you should not either!
