Meat and Potatoes Loyalists know that I rarely deal with local issues as I get such a charge out of the democRATs and their antics on a national level. Plus, I see the greatest threats to my liberty and freedom at the national level. Please indulge me while I switch gears and cover an event that is local in nature and extremely important.
Some will remember that I go "cuckoo for cocoa puffs" over the pride of Tennessee, Congressman Zach Wamp (R-TN). Zach was elected during the "Republican Revolution" of 1994, right after the Clintons tried stealing our healthcare system away from us. Funny how history has a way of repeating itself, eh folks? But I digress......
Ole Zach's hotter than a 2 dollar pistol and when he speaks, people must think he's related to E.F. Hutton because they perk them ears up and listen real good! We need a statesman like Rep. Zach Wamp during these phenomenally trying times in America with our Constitution under an almost daily assault by the Obama administration. Look at the way Obama's henchmen forced states like South Carolina to take the bailout money or else. What do you think a Governor Wamp would have told Obama to do with his stimulus money? I'm thinking of a tight orifice where little sunshine can be found! :-) Get it?
Zach will be visiting East Tennessee tomorrow (August 11th) and will be speaking at "Gunny's Indoor Shooting Range" in Maryville, TN. The event will start at 3pm, just as the Rush Limbaugh Show is coming to a conclusion so you won't have to miss any of Maha-Rushi's profoundity! Convenient eh? I wonder if they planned it that way.....hmmmm.
If you wonder why I believe in Zach so much, it has to do with the way he supported President Bush during the darkest days of the Iraq War as the democRATs worked their damnedest to subvert the effort and hasten defeat. Zach stood up on the floor of the People's House in Washington, D.C. and said this about the effort to confront radical Islam:

Congressman Zach Wamp is in no small part responsible for the success we see today on the streets of Iraq and that's a fact! He makes decisions based on what is right (in his gut) and not based on what the pollsters say. That's called "moral courage" folks and it is sorely needed both here in Tennessee and at the national level. Statesman versus politician, which do you prefer?
