From now on, April 15th is no longer "Tax Day" as I've seen fit to rename it "Cash 4 Clunkers Day". Why? Well because each year I stroke a nice, big check for a government that is loaded with nothing but clunkers. All these programs I bally-hoo about on a regular basis are failing and headed for bankruptcy just as we are about to do what? Look at creating another one.
Unlike Fannie, Freddie, Social In-Security and Medicare, NONE OF US can live without healthcare which makes the stakes in this fight over socialized (Canadian-style) healthcare or "Single-Payer" all the more grave. (You like the use of the word grave there? I learned that one in government schools....7th grade I think!)
Make no mistake about it my fellow Grassroots Troopers, the democRAT-Socialists who control this government as a "Crazy Train" (theme song provided by Ozzy Osbourne) are out for one thing and one thing only: FULL GOVERNMENT CONTROL! Oh sure, they say they just want to provide health insurance for the uninsured but that's not what they say when outside the reach of "state-run news media" cameras/microphones. Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Rep. Barney Frank and President Obama himself are all on tape stating that the ultimate goal is a "single-payer system" with the goverment being the payer using funds confiscated from YOU by force! If you don't believe me, just go to Youtube and do a quick search of their archives. I would do it for you but I'm too busy burying my gold coins in an underground vault out back!
Now, the hardcore statists mentioned above and a whole list of reprobates too lengthy to mention here know dang well that you'll demand their heads if they try what Hillary Clinton tried in 1993. Remember her closed-door healthcare debacle that she attempted when "the Father of 9/11" (hubby) put her in charge of something she had no authority to attempt? If you forget those days due to heavy partying or the ignorance due to youthfulness that plagues us all, please do some review. Advisors to Hillary such as Ira Magaziner told her to not push for "single-payer" all at once but she swung for the fences! The result? People said "No way Jose!" and voted in a Republican-led Congress in 1994, it was called the "Republican Revolution" and led to Newt Gingrich's "Contract With America". :-)
Obama and his fellow statists are students of history, they know better than to make the mistake Hillary Clinton made in 1993. They will take a page out of a male teenager's playbook and try to achieve the "objective" in stages. "What do you say we just sit in the back of my dad's Chevy Impala. I promise nothing will happen back there except maybe a little bit of kissing." The ultimate objective remains the same folks, no matter what the rhetoric may sound like from a teenager or a democRAT-Socialist and trust me, there isn't much difference!
Let me paint a depressing picture for you: Once government has the healthcare industry under its thumb with a taxpayer-subsidized insurance program, the private insurance providers will wither on the vine as they lose subscribers. Employers will terminate their own insurance programs and kick their employees over to the government system to save money. Eventually, all US citizens and illegal aliens who will flow into the country for the new benefit by the millions, will be on the program. Doctors and nurses will see the impending government-created disaster on the horizon and either quit training or leave the profession. Primary care providers, emergency rooms and clinics will become overloaded much like they are in the "Commonwealth of Massachusetts" (my former homestate). Any attempts to receive medical care in the United States will become similar to a local DMV visit and we all know how fun that can be, right? :-(
We must repel this attempt by the statists to create "Fannie Med" as Senator Jim Demint (R-SC) has called it. Once this "entitlement to end all entitlements" is created, our country will never be the same again. Time is running out as the vote is scheduled for September, please get out there and start deputizing fellow Grassroots Troopers now!
