When President "Dumbo the Puppet" said he would save or create 2.5 million jobs, he forgot to tell you they would be GOVERNMENT jobs! You knew that, right? When he told Joe the plumber he was going to "...spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody" he didn't mention he would spread the wealth to all his union, trial lawyer and "czar" buddies. But you knew that too, right?
Well here's something you might not know and something to discuss with people over hot dogs, hamburgers, beer and Johnsonville brats!
This economy is in a freefall with unreported unemployment rates of 16% and I have never seen more vacant commercial real estate in the East Tennessee area over the 10 years I've lived here. Everywhere I travel, there are office buildings and strip malls with two, three or four vacant offices/storefronts. In some areas, the entire stripmall looks like a "ghostown" with "For Rent" signs in the windows and eerily empty parking lots that have weeds growing up through the pavement.
Look around your neighborhoods and see if you can find an increasing number of empty commercial real estate. Obama says his policies are meant to restart this economy but as things become obviously worse, he just tightens the screws harder with his carbon "cap and trade" scheme and socialized medicine. "Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over?" Raising taxes is freely talked about now by his spokespeople as if it's a foregone conlcusion! Anyone with a brain would keep this Top Secret in the midst of a deep recession, if not a depression.
Insanity is defined as trying the same thing repeatedly while expecting a different result. Well, I've concluded that Obama and his team are not insane and they don't care if people know the truth about their intentions. Taking it a step further, I see what they're doing as part of a grand scheme to destroy the U.S. economy so they can rebuild it as a "command economy". But you knew that too, right?
Discuss it over the July 4th holiday while you're having your "Meat and Taters" and come back to tell me I'm absolutely "looney tunes"!
