We're burnin' down the house folks and I welcome it. Why? Well for years I've said the only thing that will wake this country up is pain. Not because I'm a misanthrope mind you but because I'm a pragmatist. I know that when times are good for many, many years a nation falls asleep and becomes disengaged. Voila! I give you the "Fascist State of America".
I just found out that while the documented unemployment rate is 9.4%, there is another number known as the "U6 employment data" and it's going unreported. You see, the reported unemployment number is ONLY people who collect benefits. What about those who have stopped collecting benefits and moved into their mother's basement? What about those working a day or two a week, washing dishes, painting houses or picking up other odd jobs? The U6 numbers take all unemployed into account and it sits at a whopping 16.4%!
Meanwhile, Obama is spending all week on trying to ram through another socialistic/fascistic monstrosity billed as "healthcare for all". What a joke! Students of history know that when government gets involved in an endeavor, you'll end up paying more and getting less for it. So too, Obama is a student of history and remembers what happened to Hillary Clinton in 1993 when she conducted her closed-door meetings to hi-jack the healthcare system. Hillary got clobbered and she helped Republicans gain control of Congress for the first time in 40 years. :-)
Obama's people are as audacious as they are cunning. They are Machiavellian in their means to turn everything over to state control and know that "totalitarian-style" healthcare can be achieved if it's sold to the voters in stages. The first stage is a government INSURANCE option that is subsidized by taxpayers and offer it to the poor and middle class (including those making up to $110,000 a year!). Who in their right mind would stick with Blue Cross/Blue Shield when they can switch over to "Obama Inc." and save $1,000 a year? "Come on, that's money for a cruise or a new entertainment center! So what if it's money being paid out by a bankrupt country headed for financial implosion, I'm ENTITLED to it!" This is the attitude that will destroy a nation folks, mark my words.
So as things worsen here economically and the "sheeple" continue to be dazzled by Obama's brilliantly delivered yet false rhetoric, we sit on the sidelines and pull our hair out by the roots. We've screamed "STOP! Before it's too late. Stop the crazy spending, stop the crazy printing of money and stop the monetization of the debt!" until we're hoarse but is anyone really listening?
I'm starting to think the only solution is to just burn the country down in a financial sense.......then rebuild it.
