Soldier shooting in Arkansas: Alarming trends

Despite the best efforts of our "helpful" mainstream media to cover it up, most of you know about the murder of Army Pvt. William Long down in Arkansas on June 1st.  It seems the leftist scum such as those at Newsweek magazine were more concerned with the murder of an abortion doctor in Kansas because they can use that story as a tool to beat conservative pro-life folks over the head.  Good luck!

Placing all that aside, this case of Carlos Bledsoe (the shooter's real name by the way) is very alarming and highlights a trend I've seen in this country with black people:  the conversion to Islam.  Today, the biggest religion being embraced in U.S. prisons is Islam and many of the new devotees are black.  I wonder why this is happening?  The only explanation I can offer and it may sound crazy, is that this is a way for bitter, disaffected blacks to rebel against the whites in America who are overwhelmingly christians.  Although my reason for believing this is anecdotal, I will share the story of a co-worker who first opened my eyes to the possibility.

I noticed her reading a Quran one time during a break at work and just being the curious sort I asked her, "Oh I see you're doing a little reading about the Islamic religion?"  Her response was a declarative, "Oh more than that, my husband and I converted to Islam several years ago and are proud Muslims."  Now without even asking her why, she continued to inform me as I noticed the big chip placed on her shoulder.  "My husband opened my eyes to the racism and hatred in American christianity nowadays and he got me to convert."

This case of Carlos Bledsoe better open our eyes to a new possibility when discussing the spectre of "homegrown terrorism" in America.  What will happen to these folks when they leave prison as newly converted Muslims?  Will they embrace the peaceful side of the religion or strive for martyrdom in waging war against the American infidels?  Just something to consider as we delve deeper into this senseless act of terrorism which took the life of a young Army private and threatens another life as well.

One more question we need to ask is why wasn't Carlos Bledsoe stopped sooner and placed in prison where he belonged.  In 2004, he was arrested by the Knoxville (TN) Police Department for possession of loaded assault rifles, shotguns, brass knuckles and other things a terrorist might find handy in carrying out a "one-man jihad".  Why did the Knox county D.A. dismiss all charges against this guy and let him go scott free?  Was there a racial component to the exoneration or did higher ups at the federal level intervene?  We won't know because folks at the D.A.'s office aren't talking.  That is, until someone at The O'Reilly Factor or another "pit-bull like" organization applies some much needed pressure.  Here's the news story in the Knoxville News Sentinel about Carlos Bledsoe's brush with the law:
