Remember when Republicans wanted to change U.S. Senate rules so that Democrat minorities could not use the FILIBUSTER rule to block confirmation of President Bush's judicial nominees? I know it was awhile ago, trust me it happened. Anyways, the biased sorry excuse we have for a media in our country nicknamed this proposed rule change the "Nuclear Option". What a joke!
Let me tell you folks about the real "Nuclear Option", here it is: Democrats plan to temporarily suspend the FILIBUSTER rule so that only 51 votes are needed in the U.S. Senate to pass legislation, instead of the 60 votes as stipulated in the United States Constitution.
Have you looked up "Budget Reconcilation" yet and told your friends about it? The statists who have overwhelming control of the House and now control 59 out of 100 seats in the U.S. Senate are going to use this process to RAM THROUGH a new entitlement program which will be the death knell for this nation. Which program am I referring to? National/Socialized Health-Care, of course.
Sorry to be depressing folks but America is already a sinking ship with social security and medicare bankruptcies. Can you imagine the impact of adding socialized medicine for everyone? This government can't even tie its own shoelaces nevermind manage our healthcare! You thought $600 toilet seats and $800 hammers were bad? You ain't seen nuthin' yet baby!
Please listen to me. Budget Reconciliation was envisioned in the 1970's as a streamlined process of passing smaller budgets for the purpose of REDUCING DEFICITS! It was never intended to be used as a "legislative sledgehammer" to slam through new entitlement programs. If Democrats use this back-door tactic, it will be unbridled tyranny of the majority and our republic will pay with its life!
