Hey folks check this out....
I majored in engineering during my 4 years at the Naval Academy but you know the ole saying "use it or lose it" and that certainly applies to what is called scientific notation. Long division embarrassed the living crap out of me today as I endeavored to figure something out.
Obama unveiled his big budget saving plan, henceforth called the "BS Plan". He wants the spendthrifts on his cabinet to find ways to save a WHOPPING 100 MILLION DOLLARS from our nation's budget. So just how much of our budget does this savings amount to?
Given the fact that Obama's budget is 3.5 trillion, it took me about 5 minutes to figure out that 100 million is approximately 3 thousandths of a percent of it. So, let's say my budget is $40,000 a year and I decide to save 3 thousandths of a percent......
How much would I have to save? A whopping $1.20 a year. Now that's certainly a BS Plan, don't you think?
God help us!
