Folks, your normally fearless leader was nibbling his cuticles down to nuthin' tonight as I watched Obama parry the advances of a pretty lively media corps at the White House. Question is: Why was Mister Meat and Taters nibblin' away like John Podesta (aka the rodent) on a piece of cheese?
Simply, Obama is an even more skilled marxist demagogue than I was originally led to believe. This guy is good, as good as Clinton and it reminds me of my all-time favorite Obama saying:
"If Bill Clinton was the first 'black' president, then Obama must be his twin brother!"
The way he twisted journalists' questions in a blink of an eyelash has convinced me (if I wasn't already convinced) that this man is very dangerous and a serious threat to the future of this nation. When you watch this presser and watch it you must, pay attention to the smooth manner in which he lies without any compunction whatsoever. Barack Obama is a charlatan, which means he would lie to his own white grandmother (if she were still alive, of course). Would you like an example of a few Obama presser whoppers?
1) Giving tax cuts to 95 percent of the American people- I've heard this fallacious claim so many times that I have to caution myself to keep calm as my carotid artery pumps up like a garden hose! This tax cut is IMPOSSIBLE because only about 60 percent of the American people pay ANY INCOME TAXES to the federal government. Obama uses the term tax cuts interchangeably with "welfare payments" and this is shamelessly disingenuous, just like his "twin" Bill Clinton.
2) Charitable giving will not decrease by reducing the tax deduction for it- Not true at all. Charities all over the country are scared out of their gourd that wealthy folks will now cut back the huge sums of money they normally give. Obama wants to disingenuously claim that people give from the heart, well sure they do but now the heart will just be writing a smaller check.
3) The Obama budget will grow our economy so as to cut the deficit in half- This is patently ridiculous and only sounds good to those who were tuning in to watch "American Idol" and got trapped with nothing else to watch on the tube. Obama claims the economy is being held back by health costs, education woes and dirty energy. Placing government in control of these has already produced failure in public education, gave us astronomical energy costs last summer and socialized medicine.....Oh Lord, my blood pressure can't even take it!
There's so much more to talk about in this press conference but I want to keep it short, I know your time is valuable and you like the quick punch of "Meat and Taters", that is after all why YOU are a "loyalist". Obama showed us tonight that he is a superb speaker, on or off the beloved teleprompter. He's quick on his feet and can handle just about any journalist's curve-ball question, though he did stumble around on the question of embryonic stem cell research. Obama showed us he can run out the clock with a technique at filibustering that would make Sen. Robert Byrd of WV proud!
Yet beneath all the impressive, shiny "veneer" that is Barack Obama, informed and perceptive individuals (such as myself) will see the fallacy of his claims. He is clearly an arrogant, cunning and deceptive charlatan who poses the greatest threat to this nation since Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Generations of people suckered for FDR's fallacious claims almost a century ago during an equally stressful time but those folks had an excuse. America was less educated, had less leisure time and had less direct access to information such as LiveLeak or Youtube. In today's world, there is absolutely no excuse for not being able to peel the veneer off of this marxist demagogue and that is what we will endeavor to do, here at the Meat and Potatoes Blog.
P.S.- Just think about this for a second. What if you could jump in a time machine and bring back Algore's internet to 1930's America? You'd be a pretty popular guy, not to mention rich! Oh wait, you'd have to bring Bill Gates with you.
Addendum - 3/25/09: Though Barack Obama is Clinton-esque in many ways, there is one major difference between him and the Father of 9/11: HE IS NOT A COWARD. He would not have dodged the draft like Bill Clinton did during Vietnam and has given no indication that he will give in on his agenda due to personal cowardice. The only thing that will stop Barack Obama is a good "punch right in the nose", delivered either by his own party NOW or by the voters in 2010 at the mid-term elections. Even then, he may not back down because he's a fearless idelogue and that is what they do!
