America: the Sinking Ship (or SCHIP)

This past week, YOUR Senators voted to pass the SCHIP program as a "back door" methodology to achieving the "holy grail" for socialists:  government-run healthcare for all.  Under such a system, government (which as we know always makes the best decisions for everyone) will pick your hospital, your doctor, your level of care and best of all, how quickly you'll get it depending on need and availability.  Sound fun?  Oh that isn't even the half of it folks.  You see, the plan is to get the kids on government run care first along with the senior citizens who are already on it (medicare).  Then, we drag the TAXPAYING PARENTS along kicking and screaming into a system that is just waiting to make their lives alot better.  Kind of like that bankrupt "ponzi scheme" in waiting:  social IN-security.

Here's what I wrote the last time DemocRATs tried this "back door" healthcare grab, it was on October 16th 2007 and the bill was shut down by a President Bush veto.  This time SCHIP is as good as law with President "Dumbo the Puppet" at the helm.  You folks are starting to miss ole President Bush just a tad now aintcha? :-)  Oh well, he's busy picking out the drapes for the presidential library and sippin' a pina colada right about now.  Well deserved if I might say!

A Sinking "SCHIP" dooms us all
by Sean Plankey    October 16, 2007

Battles being fought across the countryside and in Washington, D.C. have made reality all too clear.  Both culturally and financially, America is indeed a sinking ship.  Right now, we're sinking slowly like the Titanic as her deck chairs were being re-arranged but with time, our stern will come up out of the water and inevitably our keel will snap as we sink out of sight.  Question is:  Will Grassroots Troopers plug the holes and start up the bilge pumps in time?

Democrats have launched an all-out, full, frontal assault on America, the Bush administration and freedom itself in recent weeks.  This assault can only be described as suicidal by anyone possessing a scintilla of sanity.  Not everyone is lucky enough to harbor such sanity and this is the reason why the fight is so intense and why Democrats just might get away with it.

The attempted expansion of the "SCHIP" program by Democrat leadership represents a small battle in a much bigger war for America.  This war on our economic liberty began with the well intentioned passage of the 16th amendment many years ago and has escalated so slowly that many haven't noticed its ominous advance.  We were sold a bill of goods by two big government lovers, namely Roosevelt and Johnson that confiscating our money and investing it in a "Great Society" would pay dividends to last a lifetime.  Well what happened to the dream folks?  We awakened in recent years to confront a nightmare of cataclysmic proportions!  Social security forecasted to implode about the time that people born in the 1960's get ready to retire and a medicare system that will go to hell in a handbasket, long before it!

But amidst this reality, Democrats have continued their inexorable, almost psychotic drive to place more things under government purview.  As if to say "We've blown it with retirement spending, blown it with health care for the elderly so let's give health care for middle class children from families making $83,000 a year a try!"  Isn't insanity defined as trying the same thing over and over expecting a different result?  I belive this qualifies!

Yesterday, the first "baby boomer" signed up for her social security benefits and I couldn't help but be a little jealous!  As she sat there filling out her form on TV, I thought to myself, "Hope she enjoys the money I'm paying into the system every two weeks, I'll never get my freaken benefit....THIS SUCKS!"  Then, I regained control of my emotions and said out loud, "Who gives a crap, I don't need stinkin' social security anyways".  In fact, I even went so far as to email the social security administration offering to forego my social security benefit if they will stop deducting the taxes from my paycheck.  How's that for having a "pair", the size of grapefruits?
