I've released the deathgrip on my guns after the Supreme Court ruling this week. Now that I know the "state" can't come in and rip them out of my cold, dead hands, I can relax a little. But that doesn't mean we're out of the woods just yet. Why?
Because leftists are relentless in their quest to bring about the "New American Order" as I've referred to it. Go back and read my article of several months ago named "Rules for Radicals". In that article, I tried to paint a picture of what YOUR beloved country would look like if Clinton or Obama-style counter-culturalists had their way in Washington, D.C. One of the things I said was the following:
"NO gun ownership by private citizens, only for government officials to enforce the socialistic state."
Re-read that previous sentence again and think about this.....4 Supreme Court justices came close to doing just that! That's right folks, 4 of the justices on the Supreme Court tried to subvert the United States Constitution. The 2nd amendment clearly states: "....the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall NOT be infringed" but that obviously means nothing to Stevens, Ginsburg, Souter and Bryer. See what we're up against with today's counter-culture ladies and gentleman? It is truly scary and it shakes me to my core.
So, don't expect a conciliatory response from these socialists or as I like to say, pseudo-communists. They are relentless and will try other "back door" methods to restrict your ability to protect your family. What kind of methods you may be thinking? Well not to give these reprobates any great ideas but the term "arms" could be parsed in a fashion that would make Bill Clinton proud. Remember he was the guy who taught us that the word "is" has many different meanings! :-) So too, the word "arms" could be defined and a restrictive definition could leave you with only a flintlock musket to protect your castle. I predict that most of these "gun-ban loving" citites such as Wilmette, Chicago, New York and Washington, D.C. will allow personal firearms but with a laundry list of restrictions that will make your head spin like a top! Here's an example of how their statutes will be amended to read:
"Citizens are hereby allowed to possess firearms in accordance with the 2nd amendment such that the firearm can only be fired by an adult who is trained in the operation of all firearms currently in production all over the world. The firearm cannot be a semi-automatic, automatic or other form of rapid fire weapon, nor can it hold more than 6 rounds. The firearm must be disassembled, unloaded and contained in a theft-proof box that is approved by the Chief of Police for this city."
Think I'm crazy with all this verbage and whacked-out restrictions? Well think again. Right now, the leftists are having their own little pity-party but after they whip out their hankies and dry their crying eyes, it will be time to roll-up their sleeves and make a full, frontal legislative assault on freedom. Some of their mouthpieces are already out dutifully denouncing the 5 justices who voted to preserve the 2nd amendment and saying they ignored the precedent of the 1939 case, United States v. Miller. Funny how liberals like Diane Feinstein love to cite precedent when it goes their way! You didn't hear a peep about judicial precedent in a decision just a few days earlier which gave terrorists at Guantonomo Bay, Cuba the right to present a habeas petition to the federal courts. Nevermind the fact that the decision absolutely contradicted the established precedent in the 1950 case of Johnson v. Eisentrager. I'm not kidding, look it up!
These leftists are maniacal in their determination and Machiavellian in their means, they will stop at nothing to bring about all of the things I wrote about in "Rules for Radicals". Absolute gun control or more correctly, gun elimination is just one tenet of their plan and this fight is far from over. If you think otherwise, then go read the opinion of the 4 dissenting justices AFTER you read the text of the 2nd amendment itself.
