I just got done watching the knock-down, drag-out battle between Karl Rove and Chris Van Hollen from this weekend's Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace. One conclusion is most apparent, if you need to be touched, then Chris Van Hollen is your man. In fact, I think Chris should get together in a MSP bathroom stall with Larry Craig, he'd feel right at home!
Folks, this debate is MUST SEE TV and if you missed it this yesterday because you were grabbing some extra morning rack time (or something that rhymes with cookie) have no fear because it's on the FoxNews website! As usual, Karl Rove was factual, focused and articulate but he did let emotions get the best of him towards the middle of the engagement. Van Hollen, a contemptible Democrat from Maryland was mendacious and detached from reality (thanks to Democrat talking points!) not to mention annoying with the continual touching and grabbing of Rove's arm.
What is it with these Democrats always touching? It may seem like a long time ago but the Father of 9/11 did the same thing to Chris Wallace during a Fox News Sunday interview in September 2006. Did you miss that one? If so, go to Youtube and search the following: "Bill Clinton meltdown". In a manner similar to Van Hollen, Clinton becomes increasingly animated, moves closer and closer to his adversary and eventually starts to touch his leg. Is this a new technique Democrats are developing to subconsciously rob their opponent of the advantage? I mean we all know that conservative Republicans are homophobic right? (wink) What better way to knock them off of their game by getting close to them and doing some gratuitous touching when you begin to lose the debate, since the facts of history are not on your side! :-)
