Have you heard the term September 10th Americans? It's a term used by conservatives such as myself, to describe those individuals who act like we were never attacked by Islamo-Fascists. Fact is, we were attacked and if you are one of those kook, conspiracy nuts who think our President was behind it or allowed it to happen, please stop reading right now. The security of our nation is too important to be wasting time on dunderheads who are either too intellectually challenged to appreciate the threat or who've lost their anchor to sanity.
This September 11th, I attended the Sean Hannity "Freedom Concert" in NJ, it was a wonderful event where we honored our fallen heroes and remembered their sacrifice. We flashed a hand salute to our gallant troopers who liberated Afghanistan and Iraq from the tyranny of Islamo-Fascism and we celebrated 6 years of relative domestic tranquility here in the USA. This peace is a double-edged sword, of sorts. On the one hand, security is necessary so that our country may function and enjoy the dazzling ecomony (Dow index over 13,000! Wow!) yet people tend to forget the fact that we are a nation at war and are subject to attack at any moment. Most shocking is how many of our lawmakers seem to have forgotten this and are now acting like "September 10th Americans"! In fact, I've come up with a new nickname for the Democrat party, as if I don't have enough nicknames already..haha. They are the "September 10th Party", in my humble opinion. Here's why I am justified in "lowering the boom" on Democrats:
1) It IS possible for the USA to be at "war" with unlawful enemy combatants, otherwise known as terrorists. Democrat Chuck Schumer (NY) and others have argued that we can only be at war with "Nation States". Following this sophomoric logic in the wake of 9/11 will only lead to us getting our butts kicked, again. In fact, it has often been said that Al-Qaeda was at war with us, long before we were at war with them. Precisely! Let us not make the same mistake in the future.
2) US citizens MUST be able to speak up when they see possible evidence of terrorist activity, without being worried about lawsuits! Laws MUST be drafted which provide protections to such patriotic individuals but recently, Democrats in the nation's Congress attempted to block such legislation known as the "John Doe law". The vote to protect YOU from being sued by groups like CAIR and the ACLU for telling your flight attendant about suspicious characters on your plane was 57 to 39, with 60 being required to avoid a filibuster. Eventually the pandering party of hypocrites aquiesced and agreed to the amendment. Regardless of what happens to the "John Doe Law", does that mean that next time you fly, you don't speak up? Hell no! This is the EXACT kind of intimidation that the 6 Imams on the US Airways jet were trying to instill in the American public.
3) Captured terrorists must not be given Constitutional protections such as habeas corpus, regardless of where they are captured. This is a new kind of "war" with an elusive enemy which blends in with the civilian population, it MUST NOT be treated as a law enforcement issue for disposition in civilian courts. Can you imagine if we had caught Mohammed Atta that morning in Portland as he was getting ready to board the plane? We could have stopped 9/11 from happening right? Not according to Democrat Congressman Jerrold Nadler of New York! Click on the link below and look for a link that says "Video Webcast", when your "Real Player" comes up fast forward to 51 minutes and 30 seconds, you will be STUNNED by what you hear. This is a webcast of a government hearing on due process rights for unlawful enemy combatants who are being detained by our government, not as a form of punishment but to KEEP THE COUNTRY SAFE FROM ATTACK! Pay particular attention to when Brad Berenson says "....the World Trade Centers are coming down." and Nadler responds "That's exactly right". It gets even better when Rep. Nadler draws a moral equivalency between a captured Al-Qaeda terrorist and Charles Manson! Better pop some popcorn for this one folks.

It would appear that the Democrat Congressman who represents "Ground Zero" is in denial over what happened on September the 11th. Where did your towers go Congressman Nadler? He's still looking for them I bet.
